Acne scars

Hi! What can you recommend for removing acne scars? My last breakout leaves a mark on my face.

RE: Acne scars

If you do have indented acne scars, I recommend Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask. I DON'T use it all over all of the time!! I use a Q-tip to apply to specific scars. I works wonders for me and my mom. Twice a day application. I got this hint from another Sephora reviewer, so I cannot claim credit. If they still have it as a 100 point Beauty Bazaar item...get it!! Try it out and reply here later. That deluxe sample will last a while. I bought a full size jar before I finished mine that I got from Play. I also do it as a mask every couple of weeks, but it's primary use is for acne scars. If you just leave it on, it gets shiny and will flake off. Still works. I just rub it in nicely (no being mean to your skin!!) and do the rest of my routine. If I forget, I just do it in top before makeup. I hope this helps you!!!

RE: Acne scars

Make sure to differentiate between whether you have post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation [PIH] or post-inflammatory erythema [PIE] or if you have actual scars.

RE: Acne scars

Is an indented scar or a dark spot?

RE: Acne scars

Hi! It’s a dark spot. 😩

Re: Acne scars

You also need to exfoliate the skin to remove dead skin, then use vitamin C serum, and aloe vera gel (Lilly of the desert) helps a lot too..

Caudalie Vinoperfect serum (the free gift bday gift). This wont help with fading the scars but it helps with not getting the scars in the first place next time. it heals acne seriously fast. When a break out it is starting to heal I usually use this and it'll halve the healing time

Thank u so much. This is perfect.

Re: Acne scars

As the other poster said, vitamin c can help, as can acid exfoliation, but also it takes time.

Fading acne scars is not something that will generally happen quickly, unfortunately.

RE: Acne scars

Anything with vitamin c helps and make sure you're using some sort of moisturizer with spf because sunlight makes acne scars more pigmented

Ok thank you so much😊
