Acne scar help

i’m 20 years old and have really bad acne scars. does anyone have any advice as to what products can help brighten my skin and get rid of my scars? i have a lot of small red scars that are mostly situated on my cheeks, with a few on my chin.

my skincare routine consists of using a face cleanser (day & night), hyaluronic acid & niacinamide (at night) and a moisturizer (day & night)

my skin is super dry so any products that are dry skin safe would be greatly appreciated 🫶🏽

Re: Acne scar help

Who has a acne prone skin has to use mild cleanser. It takes almost 70% of acne care way

@sabrinaaa03

I suggest you to use a sunscreen everyday because the sun can darken acne scars and make them harder to disappear.

If your acne scars are very superficial with a darker color (hyperpimentation), they might go away by themself (it can take a lot of time!).

You already use niacinamide which can be good for your scars. Did you see any difference since you use it?

Re: Acne scar help

The scars became more prominent and visible in the past 2 years and I’ve been using niacinamide since before then, I don’t think I see much of a difference in terms of brightening my skin and getting rid of the scars 😞

I’ll definitely start using sunscreen more often though, thank you!
