ipsy or Play! Box?

I just got my sneak peek for the things coming in my ipsy bag and I'm very disappointed in a lot of the products I'm receiving, it's like they didn't look at my reviews or profile and just threw random things in the box. I'm loving the Sephora Play! Box but 1) I've had multiple problems with billing since I've joined in September and 2) I can never track my box, it gets here before I even get a confirmation email. I hate wasting $22 a month on both and can't decide on which to get rid of. If anyone else had ipsy and/or the Play! Box, which do you like better? And which do you think is worth the $10-$11?

I have BOTH and the only reason I still have ipsy is BC I paid a year upfront

 Biggest regret ever.  I have gotten eyeliner every month... they're not going by my profile or reviews. It's more miss than hit.

I had Ipsy but recently changed to sephora play last month in November. I personally like Sephora play better becuse you get more known brands and more amount of product. But I do prefer ipsys bags.

I also have both subscriptions. I love them the same I like the skin care Sephora sends me. And the key with Ipsy is to review your bag every single month give a bad review for the things you don't like and it will ask you if yuou are not interested in similar items just put the lowest review and they stop sending you that type of product. I used to get nail polished at 1st after like 2 bad reviews it stoped. Now I just Give good reviews to what I like and bad to the rest. Give it a try good luck.

I had both I’ve been with Ipsy for over two years. I love the little bags from Ipsy I use them for my purse put some stuff to touch up or tampons. I also have many brushes that I love that I got from ipsy. I had the Sephora one for a year it seemed great when I saw the boxes online but I honestly never really liked anything I got. I just kept hoping the next box would be better. It seemed to me like these were samples from the Rewards Boutique that they couldn’t get rid off. So I cancelled the play box. I now have boxy charm and ipsy and I love boxy charm! You get 5 full sized items for $21!

I heard boxy went downhill fast after a buyout.. smaller sizes not full now and SO MANY ppl complain about broken products. In unboxing videos I see what looks like deluxe sample sizes. It scared me away from trying them

I get Boxy and my products are fine and all full sized. I got a travel luxie brush set, Cover FX setting spray, pack of lip mask, a lippie, and a Winky Lux palette for November. They were all full sized and undamaged. Boxy is my favorite of the three I get, which includes Sephora Play and ipsy. I think my $21 is well spent because of all the full size products I get in return. The brush set and setting spray added up to about $68 dollars alone, lippie $17, and I would have to look at the others, but well worth the $21. Hope this helps answer your questions. Best wishes

I get both also. I joined in June to start building a supply of ideas for my daughter's birthday as it is her first year for make up. it's hard to decide between the two. ipsy bags are better, but the make up for sephoraPLAY! is better 60 percent of the time. the only thing I would like too see more of is lipsticks.. which is why I'm looking for something that is good for lips. at this time I'm getting rid of either...

I also receive both boxes I'm having the same problem I'm not really interested in what ipsy sent me this month but sometimes they give me amazing stuff so I can't let go lol I haven't gotten a box from play! yet, does everyone get the same thing?

I think the play box has 4-5 different boxes depending on certain things in your profile. Not as diverse as ipsy.

I use to have Ipsy and decided to switch to Sephora Play. I prefer the higher end products with Play. Ipsy was sending me products that I just was not interested in. For example, was always getting nail polishes and I never put anything down like I was interested in them. But I do have to say I miss their bags.

I'm disappointed this month with my ipsy as well! Usually I love everything in it!

Yes like I'm receiving a loose powder white eyeshadow and I put on my profile I don't want to receive eyeshadows because I have plenty (and come on why white!?) and they're sending me a face oil when on my profile I put I have sensitive skin that's acne prone and oily so why send me a face oil? And then they're sending me a face wash when I've gotten one every single month and they're just collecting in my shower! And I always review products and keep my profile up to date so I don't see why they got this bag so wrong.

Yes!! I completely agree and am so glad that I joined BoxyCharm. I think it is the best subscription of my three and I'm always happy knowing I get way more than $21 worth of products plus they are full sized too. I agree my favorite also.

I like Sephora because it gives higher end products but ipsy gives the best lippies and brushes

I think the Sephora is better value since you get the 50 point reward card. And then you can redeem those points for other samples (starts at 100). Plus I find they have more high end brands.
