PLAY! by SEPHORA Invitation FAQs

PLAY! by SEPHORA has some exciting news to share with you. Starting in May 2016, we’re expanding PLAY! to the lower 48 states and giving our PLAY! boxes a makeover!

 

For those of you already on the waitlist as of April 8th, 2016, we will be sending out invitations in waves until all available spots are filled. Invitations will be sent based on when you joined the waitlist. Spots are still limited, so please act quickly if you receive an invitation. As a reminder, when you receive your invitation to join, be sure to enter the same email address used to join the waitlist. If you don’t receive an invitation this time around, or you joined the waitlist after April 8th – don’t worry! As more spots open up each month, we’ll continue to send out invitations on a rolling, first come, first served basis.

 

If you would like to join the waitlist, please enter your email by visiting www.sephora.com/play. You will be included in future months’ invitations.

 

Q: When will invites be sent out to people who are on the waitlist?

A: The first wave of invitations for signup will be sent during mid-April 2016. They will continue to be sent out in monthly increments as the program grows.

 

Q: Where does PLAY! by SEPHORA ship?

A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is currently only available in the U.S. and can ship to any address in the contiguous 48 states.

 

Q: If I do get an invite, am I guaranteed a box?

A: Box quantities are limited each month. If you are invited to subscribe to PLAY! by SEPHORA, please redeem your invitation and claim your spot as soon as possible so that you don’t miss out on that month’s box.

 

Q: Will Canadians have an opportunity to subscribe?

A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is not currently available in Canada; however, we will keep you posted on any plans for expansion.

 

Q: I am a US resident and do not live in one of the contiguous 48 states. When will PLAY! be available to me?

A: We are currently exploring ways to expand our shipping capabilities to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Military Bases. We'll be notifying clients as soon as we have an update and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

So I can get all kinds of orders shipped to my APO address, but the Play! box cannot be shipped here? I don't get it.

Same issue. Received the email about getting off the waitlist. I was able to hop online 2 hours after I got the initial email. After signing up, entering my credit card information - it appears as though I just registered to use the site...NOT for Play!

Please fix these issues. That seems like some very poor planning if you invite lots of new people to your monthly subscription and then only hours later all spots are gone. Perhaps just inviting those at the top of the waitlist for the open spots each month. Not inviting everyone on the waitlist and whoever may be hovering over their computers are the lucky ones.

Please address these issues.

I got an email saying my waitlist spot was up, that i could enroll. that was at 310pm. it is now 641 pm and it says i'm on a wait list?

Sign in to your account.  Scroll down the side until you see Play! by Sephora.  It will be listed under the heading Beauty Bag.  It will show when you will be billed and when you can expect your box to be shipped.

Im having a similar problem here.... I got to checkout and clicked the monthly payment agreement box yet when I clicked the very last confirm order button it showed an error about no shipping group chosen and told me to review before submitting but there was nothing else I could do/choose. Now it tells me there's no spots left.  Very disappointed after waiting so long!

So I was sent the email saying I was off the waitlist and I went to subscribe and it just kept not loading or then it would load but then not confirm the buy and so on and so forth. I called the customer service line and the guy informed me that I could not receive the box as I wasn't in the right area... I hopped online and seen the May boxes are available throughout the 48 lower states (Where I am) and so determined to get this done I just kept trying and finally got through and got my confirmation e-mail and everything. My advice to others experiencing these problems just keep trying and my advice to Sephora... hire a new IT or whoever helps run this website because you are going to lose alot of sales this way!

Also didn't appreciate being told by Customer Service that I didn't live in the right area... I understand it's just now available within the 48 states but I feel like those working for customer service should know this information for callers like me.

I'm so confused. I got my invitation today finally and was so excited! But when I went to check out a message came up that said "no shipping group available for user". I live in Colorado, which is clearly included in there "can ship to any address in the contiguous 48 states". How can I fix this before my invitation expires?!

Sorry for the confusion! I took a look, everything seems to be fine with your account and you are still able to register with the email associate with your account. I recommend logging out and back in and trying again, or trying from a different browser. I hope that helps!

1. There seem to be a lot of problems with the user interface. It took me about four tries to get through.

 

2. And, once I finally did, I realized there was no way to change my email address to the one that's associated with my Sephora account. That's just maddening. I can change my name, address, everything but my email! (Yes, they are both my accounts. Sigh.)

So I figured I'd be clever and change my VIP account email address, which I could do. I thought. No, because the email address I used for the invitation was already taken -- even though I've never bought anything with that address -- and there is no way to merge email addresses. I would fire those programmers.

 

P.S. I'm NickyNickname, signed in under a different email address. Thanks for making it easy, Sephora!
