PLAY! by SEPHORA has some exciting news to share with you. Starting in May 2016, we’re expanding PLAY! to the lower 48 states and giving our PLAY! boxes a makeover!
For those of you already on the waitlist as of April 8th, 2016, we will be sending out invitations in waves until all available spots are filled. Invitations will be sent based on when you joined the waitlist. Spots are still limited, so please act quickly if you receive an invitation. As a reminder, when you receive your invitation to join, be sure to enter the same email address used to join the waitlist. If you don’t receive an invitation this time around, or you joined the waitlist after April 8th – don’t worry! As more spots open up each month, we’ll continue to send out invitations on a rolling, first come, first served basis.
If you would like to join the waitlist, please enter your email by visiting www.sephora.com/play. You will be included in future months’ invitations.
A: The first wave of invitations for signup will be sent during mid-April 2016. They will continue to be sent out in monthly increments as the program grows.
A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is currently only available in the U.S. and can ship to any address in the contiguous 48 states.
A: Box quantities are limited each month. If you are invited to subscribe to PLAY! by SEPHORA, please redeem your invitation and claim your spot as soon as possible so that you don’t miss out on that month’s box.
A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is not currently available in Canada; however, we will keep you posted on any plans for expansion.
Q: I am a US resident and do not live in one of the contiguous 48 states. When will PLAY! be available to me?
A: We are currently exploring ways to expand our shipping capabilities to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Military Bases. We'll be notifying clients as soon as we have an update and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

HI. I am a sephora VIB. I received an email that I was off the wait list and to click a box to subscribe now. When it took me to Sephora Play page, I entered my email to subscribe and it said not available and it placed me on the wait list again. What's going on? Is this a glitch? What's the point of displaying a countdown in the invitation email if we actually don't even have 1 day to claim our spot? I am not a happy customer at all! We should be compensated for all this trouble.
Same story. I get the email letting me know I'm off the waitlist.
You can see I have time to subscribe...
but when I try to subscribe I find I'm back on the waitlist. I don't know, I feel it's wrong to do this to so many people. I have VIB status and they send out fake emails. This is just plain mean.
I'm having the same problem than everyone. I still have 5 days left to claim my play! box and it says that I'm back to the waitlist. Sephora should compensate us.
Another frustrated Sephora customer not able to subscribe to Play! after being invited.. But I'm curious to find out if by putting our email in to sign up we are now back at the end of the waitlist? It has been almost a year of waiting, and nowhere in the email does it state that the invitation is only valid on a first come first serve basis. I really hope that everyone who has been affected by this gets first priority for next month's box.
I am having the same issue as everyone else - getting the email, getting super excited, and subsequently getting extremely disappointed after being waitlisted again. Sephora should really offer us compensation for 1)sending us false invitations that say our spot is reserved within a certain time frame, 2)straight up lying when people call/email and say the bug will be fixed and we will still be able to sign up with our invitation later as now the May box is sold out 3)not even replying to our questions/comments or creating an official statement describing what happened because Sephora customers deserve to know what's going on. Very disappointed in Sephora and their care for their customers. I will definitely be telling people of my experience and that they should be wary of Sephora.
After being on the wait list for so long, I'm really bummed that when I try to subscribe from the email invitation, it only adds me back to the wait list... How frustrating.
I received the email stating I was off the waitlist and to hurry to claim my spot, and just like everyone else who is commenting, I claimed my spot with 5 days to spare, and get put right back on the waitlist due to no spaces available. It's a little ridiculous to send out an email with a given time frame that in reality means nothing. What was the point? And from all the previous comments about dealing with the 1-800 number, I don't think I'm even going to attempt to call and get answers. I have better things to waste my time on. This is highly disappointing. And quite surprising to be coming from Sephora.
I'm having the same issue as many here, I have five days left to claim my spot, but when I tried to claim it, it says I'm back on the wait list!
I received an email saying I was off the wait list and ready to play and I have 5 days to claim my spot. I go to claim my spot and it says There's no spots but I will be put on the wait list?

I see that so many experienced the same situation I did. It is so sad to see so many get excited just to be let down. I have been on the waiting list for MONTHS! This is the first time I got an invitation and it wasn't even a true invitation. Why have a deadline listed if the deadline is not real? We all replied before the deadline and it did us no good.

If that's going the be the norm, that you don't really get to subscribe the next time you're off the waitlist, what does it matter if we add our email to the list?
I was excited to receive my email but when I tried to "claim my spot" I was being put back on the waitlist even if I have 5 days left on the invite?? Then I am on hold now at customer service for 18 minutes?! whoa. sounds no different from DMV! This is disappointing as I chose to trust Sephora instead of other beauty subscriptions for my very 1st subscription box.
I'm yet to receive a response from customer service. It seems like everybody is getting a different reason for being put back on the waitlist. I hope it's just a problem in their system. According to my email I still have a few days to claim my spot. It doesn't say anything about being put back on the list. Horrible customer service!
Same with me! After I called, they said the bug was going to be fixed and to check back in 48 hours. Notta, now I'm waitlisted again.
Does anyone know if the subscription counts as a purchase? Like every month does the $10 show up as dollars spent toward your Insider Status?
