PLAY! by SEPHORA has some exciting news to share with you. Starting in May 2016, we’re expanding PLAY! to the lower 48 states and giving our PLAY! boxes a makeover!
For those of you already on the waitlist as of April 8th, 2016, we will be sending out invitations in waves until all available spots are filled. Invitations will be sent based on when you joined the waitlist. Spots are still limited, so please act quickly if you receive an invitation. As a reminder, when you receive your invitation to join, be sure to enter the same email address used to join the waitlist. If you don’t receive an invitation this time around, or you joined the waitlist after April 8th – don’t worry! As more spots open up each month, we’ll continue to send out invitations on a rolling, first come, first served basis.
If you would like to join the waitlist, please enter your email by visiting www.sephora.com/play. You will be included in future months’ invitations.
A: The first wave of invitations for signup will be sent during mid-April 2016. They will continue to be sent out in monthly increments as the program grows.
A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is currently only available in the U.S. and can ship to any address in the contiguous 48 states.
A: Box quantities are limited each month. If you are invited to subscribe to PLAY! by SEPHORA, please redeem your invitation and claim your spot as soon as possible so that you don’t miss out on that month’s box.
A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is not currently available in Canada; however, we will keep you posted on any plans for expansion.
Q: I am a US resident and do not live in one of the contiguous 48 states. When will PLAY! be available to me?
A: We are currently exploring ways to expand our shipping capabilities to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Military Bases. We'll be notifying clients as soon as we have an update and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Does anyone know if the subscription counts as a purchase? Like every month does the $10 show up as dollars spent toward your Insider Status?

I've gotten my invite, but how do I sign up to start Recieving the box? It just gives me a spot to put my email address and "play"?!?!? I'm confused but don't want to lose my spot by not responding on time!?!?
I had the same thing happen. I've been on the wait list forever. WTH sephora? Get it together!
I had the same problem, even worse is that I tried to do it the same day it came to my email and I kept getting an error message saying that beauty insder was down and to try again. I then called the 800 number and said your spot will be saved but try tomorrow..... yup. did not work.. now I am wait listed again....?
It seems they lied to you. A mod posted that the May box was sold out so how could they have saved your spot? That's some B.S.
Same thing happened to me. I guess all the spots must have been filled by the time I went to subscribe. However, if the email says I have 8 days and I STILL have 5 days to answer that's kind of messed up. Don't send out more invites than what is available. That's poor business, Sephora.
I received the invitation and it will not let me sign up. I get the same response as all the others below that no spaces are available.

I'm also having that issue! I have an email stating I still am within the time constraints to sign up but now states i'm waitlisted again? Not trying to sound uppity but you'd think a rouge member after dropping $$$ would just be on the list regardless....
That would be nice if Rouge were added first.

Same issue as everyone else. Got an email saying I was off the wait list only to be sent to a page that puts you BACK on the wait list.

HI. I am a sephora beauty insider. I received an email that I was off the wait list and to click a box to subscribe now. When it took me to Sephora Play page, I entered my email to subscribe and it said not available and it placed me on the wait list again. What's going on? Is this a glitch? Can it somehow be bypassed? Why would I receive an email telling me I am off the waitlist and inviting me to join only to be waitlisted again? I am confused and a bit disappointed as I was looking forward to joining and have been since it rolled out.
Same deal here. I even have a countdown timer that is currently showing me my offer to join expires in 5 days, # hours, # minutes, etc. I click to subscribe and enter my email address, but am told I've been added to the waiting list. I currently subscribe to Birchbox, and although I am happy with it, I was even happier to find out Sephora would be offering the same deal. My plan is to cancel Birchbox when I can join Play, but it looks like I'll now have to wait at least another month now. I would think that if an invite has been sent to someone that has an expiration date on the offer, then that person should be allowed that time to take advantage of the offer. Once it expires, the person would have to wait for another spot to open. Seems fair. I check my email pretty regularly, but didn't see this over the weekend. Back to the drawing board.
What I find the most frustrating is that they have stopped answering peoples questions through this forum, like they were doing a few days ago! When you have this many customers upset about a mistake you have made, the WORST thing you can do is ignore them!!! Sephora should have made some sort of announcement, apology email explaining their mistake, replying through this forum - SOMETHING!?!?! I tired to sign up hours after receiving my email on Friday, wrote on this forum, and after not hearing from them I absolutely went to Ulta on Saturday for the purchase I had been planning to make, instead of Sephora. Tried to upload a pic of my receipt but guess what, their upload system is buggy too! Go figure.
Finally, at least something worked! Not much, but I will certainly take my business elsewhere from now on until they get better at customer service! Not to mention I did receive about $7 off in coupons! You never get that at Sephora! If only Ulta carried more high end brands 😞
