PLAY! by SEPHORA has some exciting news to share with you. Starting in May 2016, we’re expanding PLAY! to the lower 48 states and giving our PLAY! boxes a makeover!
For those of you already on the waitlist as of April 8th, 2016, we will be sending out invitations in waves until all available spots are filled. Invitations will be sent based on when you joined the waitlist. Spots are still limited, so please act quickly if you receive an invitation. As a reminder, when you receive your invitation to join, be sure to enter the same email address used to join the waitlist. If you don’t receive an invitation this time around, or you joined the waitlist after April 8th – don’t worry! As more spots open up each month, we’ll continue to send out invitations on a rolling, first come, first served basis.
If you would like to join the waitlist, please enter your email by visiting www.sephora.com/play. You will be included in future months’ invitations.
A: The first wave of invitations for signup will be sent during mid-April 2016. They will continue to be sent out in monthly increments as the program grows.
A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is currently only available in the U.S. and can ship to any address in the contiguous 48 states.
A: Box quantities are limited each month. If you are invited to subscribe to PLAY! by SEPHORA, please redeem your invitation and claim your spot as soon as possible so that you don’t miss out on that month’s box.
A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is not currently available in Canada; however, we will keep you posted on any plans for expansion.
Q: I am a US resident and do not live in one of the contiguous 48 states. When will PLAY! be available to me?
A: We are currently exploring ways to expand our shipping capabilities to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Military Bases. We'll be notifying clients as soon as we have an update and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

I'm having the same problem too. I emailed customer service and all they said was that spots are full and then I was given 50 points in rewards. She never answered my question as to why the link didn't work.

Why send out an email saying that I've been taken off the waitlist, only to have no spots available? Why send more of these invites than spaces available? This is a poor practice. I don't think I will try to get this subscription box again.
As I read all the comments I realize that the same thing happened to me (got an email stating that I was finally off the wait list only to find that I was thrown back on it.) What happens now? Any one?

I finally received the email stating I'm off the waitlist, but when I sign up, it tells me no spots are available. This is frustrating. I'm a VIB member and have been on the waiting list for a long time. In fact, the email you guys sent states I still have 6 days to claim my membership. I attempted to claim it 12 hours after the email was sent, so I still have 6 days, 22 hours, 23 minutes and 47 seconds to claim my spot according to the email.. A response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Ugh so disappointed. I check my email I got the invite was so excited cause I been waiting forever. And now it's saying there's no spots open.. come on . Really why even send the email if we still don't get the spot.. so disappointed... now I'm gonna how to wait again.. like really.. that's not right our invite should work..
I'm having the same issue. Was on the waiting list as well and went to go order and was told no spots were available. Frustrating as I waited probably over two months to receive an email and now I have to wait how much longer? May just not be worth the hype to me...

I received an email stating that I am off the waitlist but when I went to subscribe for sephora play it said that I have been added to the waitlist.
They shouldn't put a time limit to redeem your invite if there is a limited amount of spots. It's ridiculous. I have been waiting since this service was first announced. Well I suppose if we aren't staring at our emails as soon as they send out the next "wave of invites" we wont get in, again. It's not like Sephora isn't a well know and loved company... it was suppose to have a small test run ( even though EVERYONE knows they would have an incredible outcome) and then become open to everyone... this is crazy. I'm starting to not even be excited anymore for this... I feel like it's more of a hassle than anything.
I got my email saying that there was a spot for me and that I had 7 more days (from today) to claim it. I went to claim it and there are no more spots. So sad 😢
Finally they sent me the email that I was off the waitlist, that I had 7 days to claim my spot and when I did, it just told me that there are no spots 😕 back to the waitlist, is this a joke?
I also received an email stating I was off waitlist but when I went to claim my spot there wasn't any available and I was just put back on waitlist. Sephora playbox is definitely poorly run.
So has anyone actually received a box or is it just a bunch of false invitations? I was really excited to try this box because I love Sephora but can't believe such a large company would be so disorganized. Guess it's a good scam to get you to go to their website 😕 really disappointed..
I called customer service yesterday and they weren't very knowledge. One rep didn't even know what Play was and another said he would look into it for me and email me back. I am still waiting for his reply.

So excited! I have my emails setup to my phone so I say this the second it arrived. I have never hit a button so quick, I even teared up a little. Woo!
I as well received an invitation and had 7 days left to claim my spot and when i went to claim my spot i get a respond that there are no open spots and I'm on the wait list again. As if i didn't already wait 2 months to receive the email. Not very happy that i have to wait another 2 months to receive an email and who knows if the same problem will occur again.
