PLAY! by SEPHORA Invitation FAQs

PLAY! by SEPHORA has some exciting news to share with you. Starting in May 2016, we’re expanding PLAY! to the lower 48 states and giving our PLAY! boxes a makeover!

For those of you already on the waitlist as of April 8^th, 2016, we will be sending out invitations in waves until all available spots are filled. Invitations will be sent based on when you joined the waitlist. Spots are still limited, so please act quickly if you receive an invitation. As a reminder, when you receive your invitation to join, be sure to enter the same email address used to join the waitlist. If you don’t receive an invitation this time around, or you joined the waitlist after April 8th – don’t worry! As more spots open up each month, we’ll continue to send out invitations on a rolling, first come, first served basis.

If you would like to join the waitlist, please enter your email by visiting www.sephora.com/play. You will be included in future months’ invitations.

Q: When will invites be sent out to people who are on the waitlist?

A: The first wave of invitations for signup will be sent during mid-April 2016. They will continue to be sent out in monthly increments as the program grows.

Q: Where does PLAY! by SEPHORA ship?

A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is currently only available in the U.S. and can ship to any address in the contiguous 48 states.

Q: If I do get an invite, am I guaranteed a box?

A: Box quantities are limited each month. If you are invited to subscribe to PLAY! by SEPHORA, please redeem your invitation and claim your spot as soon as possible so that you don’t miss out on that month’s box.

Q: Will Canadians have an opportunity to subscribe?

A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is not currently available in Canada; however, we will keep you posted on any plans for expansion.

Q: I am a US resident and do not live in one of the contiguous 48 states. When will PLAY! be available to me?

A: We are currently exploring ways to expand our shipping capabilities to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Military Bases. We'll be notifying clients as soon as we have an update and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

My daughter and I signed up same day. We were placed on their waiting list same day. She rec'd an invitation today, but I have not rec'd one yet. Does the waiting list take customers in the order that they provide the email?

I received an invitation to join Play today. I live in NYC. Still deciding whether or not to go for it as I already have a ton of samples and am not sure if I would be really introduced to things I haven't tried before.

I'm dying to get into play by Sephora and literally can't wait to get my invitation. Everyday I check my email but it's never there. I will keep patiently waiting but I desperately want to enroll/be an active member of this program.

I just got an invite and decided to give it a try (I'm in Virginia). I've been subscription free for a few months and after a few years of Birchbox and Popsugar- I just needed a break. I've liked a sample or two from each past Play box and wouldn't mind gifting the others, so I'm hoping the box holds it's value.

Can a mod confirm if those of us subscribing in the next few days will get March's box?

I just got an invitation to join! I signed up the day the waiting list came out as well, so hopefully others will start receiving invitations too.  I'm in Maryland.

National launch in 2016? It is 2016! I have been on the FOREVER 'Waitlist" since day one and have yet to EVER receive an invite.  But random people everywhere are saying they are just happening to get a spot throughout the day. What gives?? I have been on this list since day 1, as well as many others. THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS!!!!! So annoyed!!!! 

Oh and one more thing, How do they know what market we are in if we can't get passed inputting our email??!!! UGH! :X

I signed up for a spot on the waiting list the day this was announced, yet I have friends posting on FB that they just received their boxes. When I came to the site to see about my subscription, it still says there are no spots available...am I still on the waiting list from back in August, or did y'all dump the list and start over?

I also signed up on the DAY it was announced. I haven't heard a peep from them till this day. And there is no way to check to see where you are on the waiting list. Or if you're even still on the list. I'd like some answers as well.

My daughter signed up AFTER I did on the same day. She rec'd the invite today and I have not gotten one as of yet. So angry! They could at least be clear about the terms of the waiting list. Obviously it's not in the order you provide email address. UGH!

I would have thought VIB Rouge and VIBs would get invites first but I have been a long time VIB Rouge and I heard about this from one of my employees. Wonder if it will ever be up and running, the boxes look great!

I have been sighned up for moths tho I'm not sure if there doing it everywhere I'm in Kentucky, what made me furious is my friend invited me and woudnt allow me to join I called Sephora and they claimed they coudnt not find the invite they sent to her,... The say have done is is very poor for such a high name company.

I received an invitation and was still told there were no available spaces.  Then I got a second email saying Oops!!  Now you can join and still got the same message saying there were no spots.  I was really looking forward to signing up for this.
