PLAY! by SEPHORA Invitation FAQs

PLAY! by SEPHORA has some exciting news to share with you. Starting in May 2016, we’re expanding PLAY! to the lower 48 states and giving our PLAY! boxes a makeover!

For those of you already on the waitlist as of April 8^th, 2016, we will be sending out invitations in waves until all available spots are filled. Invitations will be sent based on when you joined the waitlist. Spots are still limited, so please act quickly if you receive an invitation. As a reminder, when you receive your invitation to join, be sure to enter the same email address used to join the waitlist. If you don’t receive an invitation this time around, or you joined the waitlist after April 8th – don’t worry! As more spots open up each month, we’ll continue to send out invitations on a rolling, first come, first served basis.

If you would like to join the waitlist, please enter your email by visiting www.sephora.com/play. You will be included in future months’ invitations.

Q: When will invites be sent out to people who are on the waitlist?

A: The first wave of invitations for signup will be sent during mid-April 2016. They will continue to be sent out in monthly increments as the program grows.

Q: Where does PLAY! by SEPHORA ship?

A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is currently only available in the U.S. and can ship to any address in the contiguous 48 states.

Q: If I do get an invite, am I guaranteed a box?

A: Box quantities are limited each month. If you are invited to subscribe to PLAY! by SEPHORA, please redeem your invitation and claim your spot as soon as possible so that you don’t miss out on that month’s box.

Q: Will Canadians have an opportunity to subscribe?

A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is not currently available in Canada; however, we will keep you posted on any plans for expansion.

Q: I am a US resident and do not live in one of the contiguous 48 states. When will PLAY! be available to me?

A: We are currently exploring ways to expand our shipping capabilities to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Military Bases. We'll be notifying clients as soon as we have an update and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

This is crazy. I actually live in the test area and got an invite and it won't let me sign up. It keeps putting me on the wait list. I talked to customer service and they said the website was down and no one was being allowed to sign up but that's not true. I'm getting so frustrated! I emailed them two weeks ago trying to figure out how to get an invitation because I knew I was in the test are and didn't want to miss out. I just want to sign up 😞

Ugh I just talked to them again and they basically said I'm SOL. This completely blows. I live right in the middle of the test area and finally got my invitation and I got wait listed when people on the other side of the country from the test areas are being able to sign up. Makes zero sense to me. The reps were super nice but couldn't do anything to help and had no information. I just want my box!!

I got one in Texas too, but I recently moved here from Boston (Back Bay), so maybe that's why. Either way I'm so excited 🙂

Got my invite this morning, just signed up now and I made it in!  I'm not sure how far they're extending the Boston-metro invite radius, because I'm not in that area at all and I got an invite.  I only made VIB a few weeks ago too, so it really must be random who does and doesn't get an invite.  Best of luck to everyone who got put on the waitlist!

A large part of New England is considered the Boston area. I didn't know until a Sephora friend told me when they announced the Boston test market.

I'm in the Boston area so I hope I get an invite soon. I signed up within the first few hours of the link going up and it said I'm on the wait list. Anyone know if it said that for everyone?

I'm in the Boston area, got my invite a couple hours ago, and signed up with success, I think, within the past hour! I was never on the waitlist and am VIBR. It seems like it's going out in waves so hopefully you get yours soon too 🙂

I live in Columbus Indiana, which is far from both Cincinnati and Columbus Ohio! Pretty excited! 🙂

They probably used a 100 mile radius for Cincinnati and Columbus. Boston Metro could have also been 100 miles, but I'm guessing, since it's more densely populated than the Ohio target area, that it may have been dropped down to a 50 or 75 mile radius.
