PLAY! by SEPHORA has some exciting news to share with you. Starting in May 2016, we’re expanding PLAY! to the lower 48 states and giving our PLAY! boxes a makeover!
For those of you already on the waitlist as of April 8th, 2016, we will be sending out invitations in waves until all available spots are filled. Invitations will be sent based on when you joined the waitlist. Spots are still limited, so please act quickly if you receive an invitation. As a reminder, when you receive your invitation to join, be sure to enter the same email address used to join the waitlist. If you don’t receive an invitation this time around, or you joined the waitlist after April 8th – don’t worry! As more spots open up each month, we’ll continue to send out invitations on a rolling, first come, first served basis.
If you would like to join the waitlist, please enter your email by visiting www.sephora.com/play. You will be included in future months’ invitations.
A: The first wave of invitations for signup will be sent during mid-April 2016. They will continue to be sent out in monthly increments as the program grows.
A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is currently only available in the U.S. and can ship to any address in the contiguous 48 states.
A: Box quantities are limited each month. If you are invited to subscribe to PLAY! by SEPHORA, please redeem your invitation and claim your spot as soon as possible so that you don’t miss out on that month’s box.
A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is not currently available in Canada; however, we will keep you posted on any plans for expansion.
Q: I am a US resident and do not live in one of the contiguous 48 states. When will PLAY! be available to me?
A: We are currently exploring ways to expand our shipping capabilities to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Military Bases. We'll be notifying clients as soon as we have an update and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

I just received my invitation to join (received 2:06 pm ET, 8/20). I'm not sure if it is because I am in the metro Boston area and therefore in a pilot area and was already on the list for one of the waves of email broadcasts.... or if it is because I posted here and also sent an email to customer service asking why VIB Rouge in pilot areas are not automatically invited. I'll have to ask around at the Sephora stores I frequent, and see if they have other customers in the beta. In any event, I am excited!!!

Ladies I just got the invite! Like some other BTer said, they might be sending the emails in waves so just wait a bit if you have no reason not getting one (ie: me, VIB ROUGE and a metro Boston resident). Or maybe complaining here helped?
Honestly I would be so pissed if I really didn't get one, Recently have been feeling us Rouge status customers are not getting respect we should've gotten.
I just got mine today too! I was on the waiting list pretty much the moment it went up and I live in Boston. I'm VIB, though not Rouge. I was reeeeally hoping to get one, so I'm so glad I did! Hang in there, folks living in the limited markets, your time may be coming!

Just felt that us Sephora customers aren't getting the respect we should've gotten. Rouge or not, they really need to upgrade their points system. The point perks are honestly lame and not worth it. The samples that are worth trying can only be redeemed after making a purchase above $35. The only reason that I still shop there is probably because of their awesome return policy. I will at least give them that.
This is a test run in a small market (s) with a limited number of participants to work out the kinks and to see how they should proceed. They are not sending out invitations to every Sephora shopper (Rouge or not) in these markets. I don't know how Sephora is selecting the participants but if all goes according to plan, they will expand the service.

I did receive an invitation a couple of days ago. I also signed up to be on the waitlist as soon as the link was given. I'm not sure if signing up there had anything to do with the invitations, or if the order of signing up mattered.
Can someone PLEASE explain to me how I'm only a $150 away from being VIB Rouge (Read: I spent a crap load of money at Sephora) and I did NOT receive an invitation and now I'm on the waitlist?
Way to go, Sephora. Nice to know how you treat your loyal customers.
Also, VIB Rouge weren't even given preference for this, so it's just one of those things.
I seriously feel like these are words to live by - 'it's just one of those things'. Replace that with 'why isn't the world bending to my will', and you will be a much, much happier person.
