November play box

I Did not receive my 50 insider points card in the November box . May I know why?

I never received a survey or had anyone contact me about it. Everyone is obviously wanting the points&I don’t see how a piece of paper is going to interfere with Sephora doing better w/their box. I used every single point pass I got&have been a loyal customer but will be canceling due to this.

Well this was my last box! I just unsubscribed after two years.  I loved the extra 50 points every month, and yes, I did use them every single month.  Your company gave no warning whatsoever and I surely didn't get a survey asking if I wanted to keep the 50 points.  The past two boxes have been terrible, last month's expired samples just really let me see how badly this company has gone down. Bye Sephora Play!

I'm pretty sure that if you were to ask subscribers if they would rather get the best samples from the top brands or the play card, they would pick the play card (really though, they're samples for $10 do you really need to pick between the two?). The markup is already insane for beauty items. I have been a loyal Sephora customer but with the amount of hoops we jump through to get points and good rewards, I find myself buying what I can from Ulta instead because they make it so much easier to shop and get a deal.

Hello, I personally used every single pass and that was one of the best things from the box. I had subscribed for 2 years now and I got mascara in every single box even though I don't use mascara. I didn't get any survey asking me for my opinion. I'm a rouge member and this is a big disappointment for me. My play subscription is canceled now.

I personally wasn't polled and am not a fan of getting rid of them. I've seen people complain about repeat products (I just got a repeat this month) and more mascara than I can use in a lifetime- and Sephora doesn't care about that feedback. Seems like a ton of customers are upset with this decision and cancelling their subscriptions.

No one asked me.. bc I would have said keep the points .. why don’t we get a choice .. ? We all signed up when it was listed as an item in the box (points), how can it just be taken away?

😡 When signing up for play box it states we get new deluxe sample products & 50 bonus points❣There is NO warning, Statement, nor Email about why the perk is going away & how we should vote or not if it was necessary to keep the points. Totally NOT 🤬 COOL seems to me lots of people didn't get the memo, 1 heck of a surprise b4 the holiday season that this perk that keeps me coming to the stores is no more. Thought you want more foot traffic thru the doors not less.

Really? It seems like you have a lot of subscribers here that are telling you they use the passes on the regular to get samples they actually want to try. We've gotten so many repeats this year alone, it's a shame, really. The points actually help make up for the disappointing contents that my box contains. If this is removed from the box permanently, I'll probably cancel in the new year.

I cancelled. Between this, the repetitive products (yay another lancome mascara) and the one time use perfume; I'm out.

Giving us a one time use perfume is not "giving us better boxes".

This is pretty ridiculous. The only reason I subscribe is for the pass to get extra points or a coupon offer. The samples were literally worse this month than ever before. I’ve already gotten 3 of the samples in my box in previous boxes. You are going to lose a lot of subscribers.

I highly disagree with that. I have only kept my subscription for the points alone. Now I will be canceling!

I actually emailed last month because I was looking forward to the 50 points instead of the foundation coupon. I mentioned when I emailed that if the points pass was going away I'd like to know, but the customer service agent didn't tell me then that November would also not have a pass. I noticed that before the October boxes shipped the Play page advertised the points pass, but when they shipped it was edited not to. - time to cancel until they make this box better.

I would also love to know where this survey was where subscribers were asked what we prefer, points or better boxes. I sure as heck didnt get asked Anyone else? The points were one of the main reasons for me keeping the box.

Hi @RebeccaBT Can you give some facts to back up how discontinuing the 50 pt card will allow Sephora to make the box better? Will there be more expensive brands or a bigger number of samples? I’d love to see an answer with actual information vs your answer which I’m sure was given to you by Corporate that doesn’t actually say anything 😁

Wow. Honestly, that was one of the main reasons I have kept the box coming. I have been thinking of stopping it and this decision has made it easier for me to cancel.

I signed up for my first play box last month.....the 50 points card was one of the main incentives that made me subscribe, along with the samples. The subscribe page said I would get the points card last month, and I only received the 20% off coupon. That is NOT what your page listed as what I would get if I subscribed to the play box. Not happy with that.

Hi @Anonymous, going forward, I don't believe the Play! Pass will be included with every Play! box.  It should not have been listed on last month's page.  As a courtesy, I am sending you a private message to further assist.

Hi @RebeccaBT; why hasn’t this change been made aware to all Play Subscribers? Just like the Play Dates; it was said that the Play Dates were coming back at the beginning of, I believe, it was last year and nothing else was said about it and they just fizzled out; hoping that no one would notice! Also, I have been with Play by Sephora since day 1 and not once has it been asked of me about bonus points vs. better samples. In my opinion, I believe they are doing away with the Rewards Bazaar and Points system altogether. Wow Sephora; your lack of any communication is APPALLING! And to put it all on the MODS to deal with your inability is INEXCUSABLE!!
