False Advertising

I received notification in the app that I'd be getting a great box:

No where was there fine print that stated "these items might be in your box" or "these items are representative.  It clearly indicated that these items would be in my box.  I was thrilled.  Other than the lip crayon, I'd love to get every one of these items.

 

Instead, I got this:

I'm good with swapping the Belif Sleeping mask for the Laneige sleeping mask.  Like for like products in my opinion, fair enough.  But there is NO WAY IN HELL to compare the Marajo shampoo and conditioner with the Bite lip Balm and Lip scrub which are micro sized, and the Mushroom crap with the Drunk Elephant.  The substitutes are woefully unacceptable.

 

I have been very loyal to Sephora, but I'm pissed, particularly when others have gotten the box I was originally told I'd be getting.  Their supply chain issues are not my problem, and I expect Sephora to somehow make this right.

I am super unhappy with my box too. While I didnt get the mushroom tea nonsense, 4 of the 6 things in the bag I have already and have received before. The bite tiny was available as a sample with purchase last week (never mind I own it already), I’ve gotten the origins marks twice already, a duplicate Clinique Lippie is absolutely no comparison to the bite crayon and I’ve had a beauty blender and the solid cleanser (I actually really prefer cinema secrets but....) since the very beginning. The only two things I don’t have already are a single use night mask and some vitamin pills? This might push me over the edge to cancel.

Thank you but honestly is what I am to expect from my play box what is the point of purchasing it? The whole point is to try new things and have the box be personalized to my profile? Why would I pay for things I already have and don’t like or haven’t used? Can they do something about not duplicating products? This month was a total rip off and disappointment. It almost makes me want to cancel.
