Which is the better Mist? 💦🚿

I have very oily skin. I want to add a hydrating mist to my routine. This will be used either hours before or hours after my facial cleanings, just as a light refresher/pick me up. I don't want something that will make my face produce more oil but these two products that I'm stuck between say it's for "all skin types".

It's the Caudalie Grape Water Limited Edition 6.7 oz/ 200 mL and Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist 2.53 oz/ 75 mL

I know that the Grape Water is just grape water but I'm wondering are there any skin benefits or is it just a fancy packaged water that does nothing special? 🍇

The Watermelon Glow Mist has some fruit oils in it, and I'm wondering will it make my skin oily? I'm also confused because it has Apple Cider Vinegar in it that they say helps control natural oil production. 🍉

I plan on keeping the mist in my refrigerator to cool my face. 🥵🥰

(BTW, I'm not using this for makeup at all. This is only for a refresher/pick me up hours before and hours after face washing.)

Re: Which is the better Mist? 💦🚿

Another oily gal here, who swears by the Caudalie Grape Water!  I have been in love with this line for years, and I use the Grape Water at night for that extra boost of moisture especially after facials.  I had a facial at the Caudalie Spa in DC as a birthday treat a couple of years ago, and my esthetician sprayed this on my face after my treatment.  I purchased the Grape Water that day and haven't been sorry.

I also like using it just before my sunscreen when I go for my morning run especially on colder days.  The fact that it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin is a plus.

@lmaster and @ather do either of you have any experience to share about the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist 2.53 oz/ 75 mL  ?

@Anonymous  I’ve been using the GR for awhike now!! I really like it. I tend to be more dry especially in the colder months and it really feels nice. I also love the smell. So amazing 😉

@Anonymous I typically have oily skin in the summer and normal skin in the cooler months, I have repurchased the GR watermelon mist! It definitely does not make my skin more oily 🙌 it smells amazing and it does have a fine mist

@faeriegirl can you provide some input as well? 😊

Re: Which is the better Mist? 💦🚿

@Anonymous  I haven’t tried the Caudalie but I absolutely love the Glow Recipe mist. I normally use it during my skincare routine, but occasionally I will use it as a refresher. It doesn’t make me oily at all. It is expensive, but it feels so nice especially when it’s refrigerated and it smells amazing.

Re: Which is the better Mist? 💦🚿

I am a big Caudalie Grape Water fan. I can't try the Glow Recipe because it has fragrance, and I feel I need to stay away from that in my skincare as my skin is easily irritated. Sometimes though, I just use distilled water that I put in an empty, rinsed-out Urban Decay setting spray bottle (since it has a nice mister and is easy to open and fill). Grape Water is expensive for what it is, it suffers from a huge mark-up. Distilled or purified water is very handy to have around for a variety of uses on which I don't want to "waste" the Grape Water, including a fast skin refresher at times. @Anonymous

I do think Grape Water is very soothing if your skin is a little irritated. It certainly helped me once when I left on a chemical exfoliant that was supposed to be a rinse-off. It stopped the redness and discomfort right away. That was a mild issue that didn't need real medical treatment, of course. And I must say, I always have a can of Grape Water.

Re: Which is the better Mist? 💦🚿

@Anonymous I own both and the Grape water I feel is like the Evian water.  I didn't see any added benefits for my dry/combo skin other than it kept my skin hydrated.  As for the watermelon mist it's so fine of a spray that I don't think it will make you oily but then again I don't have the same skin type as you.  In the end both are great skin refreshers.
