Setting powders for oily skin

Anyone have any good tips for using setting powders on oily skin? I set with powder and setting spray, but a few hours later as my skin gets oily underneath, my makeup looks very powdery and weird. Any tips or product suggestions?

I love the bare minerals translucent powder duo. The matte side is extremely good for oily skin and I use it everyday.

I use bareminerals matte powder but if u want a cheaper product that works just as well try Maybelline fit me matte + poreless powder

After I apply my foundation, I'll give a few sprays to my face, and then set with a powder. After setting I spray a little more. I find this method works for me, since the powder really melts into the skin when its damp. Urban Decay De-Slick does a great job with helping keep my face matte and set all day

Are you using a good mattifying primer?

Hi NenaSeibring!

I too have oily skin particularly on my t-zone.  I currently use IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores and I notice that how I apply it makes a difference.  If I just apply it with a powder brush all over, my oils will surface within 2-3 hours.  But if I use a powder puff and press it into my skin and then use a brush to brush off the excess, this gives me longer lasting power.  Of course, using a primer and a setting spray will also help but unfortunately I don't have any recommendations on those as I'm still testing stuff out.

I hope this is helpful!
