Preventing makeup from spreading

Hi guys! What do you all recommend to prevent my makeup from spreading (for ex: on my clothes, my friends faces when I give them hugs, etc.) for oily skin? I’ve tried the kat von d and too-face setting spray, and while those both work really well at making my makeup last, it doesn’t help the spreading. Any advice? Thanks!!!!

Smashbox Studio Skin is the only one I found to not transfer. I set it with a loose powder and I'm good for the day, I use a few different powders and they all work...so it's really the foundation that's staying put.

@jaburns13 Apply to a cool temperature face, rather than right after washing and not in a humid room i.e. the bath, let layers dry down in between. Do you using a primer? What foundation? Moisturizer?

Oh ok thanks I’ll have to give that a try! Right now I’m using smashbox primer, fenty foundation, and Mario badescu moisturizer!!

@jaburns13 Which smashbox? Fenty is silicone based, so a silicone based primer would be best. Silicone can also create a barrier causing oil to not be able to go anywhere easily. If you're feeling extra greasy, it may not be for you.
