It does keep the oil at bay. I only reapply halfway through the day in the summer. But it kind of sits on top of fine lines and wrinkles in weird ways, but if that's not your concern then it's a good powder foundation since in terms of coverage (well as much coverage as a powder foundation can give) it's excellent! Evens my slight discolorations by itself without any foundation.
