Best Primers?

Im trying to find an affordable primer that is great for pores and works on oily skin. Any suggestions?

RE: Best Primers?

@ArmandoS I have 3 that I switch between. Touch in Sol No Poreblem (Amazing for filling pores and fine lines), Hourglass Mineral Veil (Keeps skin matte and flawless but expensive) and Cane+Austin Prime+Protect (Tinted, pore filling and SPF 50). I also own Becca Ever Matte but it’s a little tricky to work with. You have to pat that primer into your skin. If you rub, it can pill but it definitely does keep you matte all day. It’s a little too matte for my liking so I only use it on my T-Zone when I know I will be in the heat and sweating. Touch in Sol is the most affordable if the 3 at $18. Hourglass and Cane+Austin are my HG’s and I absolutely cannot live without either of them!

Hi Beauty! @ArmandoS

Have you tried BECCA's Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector?

It's a targeted mattifying primer that controls oil for up to 12 hours. Not only does it help to absorb oil, but it also minimizes the appearance of pores. It can also be used throughout the day to touch up areas of concern (like the T-zone).

Another added bonus: It's dermatologist tested and free of silicone, oil, alcohol and fragrance.

Good luck with your search and I hope you're able to try it out!

Re: Best Primers?

I have really oily skin with large pores on my nose/cheeks. I felt like I had tried EVERY super highly recommended and well loved oily skin primer (porefessional, smashbox, hourglass, etc) and nothing really did for me what it seemed to for everyone else. I finally picked up the Becca Ever-Matte one day though and I don't know how more people aren't talking about it! It is a little bit tricky to apply right, because you have to warm it up between your fingers and pat it on for it to work right (not just rub it all over like most primers) but it is definitely one of the very best I have used. A close second for me is the Hourglass Veil Mineral but it's really expensive.
