highlighters

i I’ve seen ppl with a smooth highlighter but mine looks flaky. i use the sephora brand one. what are good ones? btw i don’t use any other makeup other than mascara. is it bc i’m not using anything else or bc of what highlighted in using

Re: highlighters

I also have very dry skin and most highlighters look almost cakey on me and do not sit on my skin well.

I tried rare beauty but it make me look much more dry and just was not a good fit for my skin type. I realized that for dry skin, the lighter formulas work best.

Right now my favourites are Saie Mini Glowy Super Gel Lightweight Dewy Multipurpose Illuminator  (i apply this on top of moisturizer). Then follow up with tinted sunscreen and finally MERIT Day Glow Dewy Highlighting Balm Cava  on top for the extra shine.

i think you would be okay with just using the merit highlighter since it's a very moisturizing formula 🙂

Re: highlighters

@Liyaar @Do you exfoliate your skin at least once a week?

Re: highlighters

yes

Re: highlighters

@Liyaar @Maybe try a hydrating or blurring primer. Are you using skincare catered to your skin type?

Re: highlighters

@Liyaar  Are you using a powder highlighter or a cream? Is your skin dry? Could you try to moisturize before you use it?

Re: highlighters

i use the sephora brand powder highlighter. I wash my face before use

Re: highlighters

Are you doing skin prep though? Skin prep helps makeup go on smoothly. Also the product might be dried out.

Re: highlighters

no, i am not. what are some good products

Re: highlighters

@Liyaar @What is your skin type?

Re: highlighters

oily (😭)

Re: highlighters

maybe 20? also you put this before right

Re: highlighters

@Liyaar @For brands more in that price range I would look into the ordinary and the inkey list.
