How can I do my makeup professionally without needing a makeup artist?

Hi all, I’ve been into makeup for years. I always ask for advice and view YouTube videos but I can I never achieve the look by myself. Any tips on what I should do?

When I first started it out, I had the same problem. It has hard for me to figure out how to apply what I saw on YouTube to my specific features. I found it more helpful to actually put some makeup on and go to someone for feedback. I’ve done this a few times and it’s always helped me improve. I also booked time with one of Sephora’s makeup artists. She turned it into a mini lesson and showed me where she was applying products on my face. If you have the time, I would recommend sitting down with someone who can help you navigate your features and the looks you’re trying to accomplish. After that, it’s as @SportyGirly125 said, practice practice practice! And if you’re unhappy with the end result, wipe it off and try again. Good luck!

@Karelynlareina @Practice practice practice. You can’t get better if you do not challenge yourself, practice, and get outside your comfort zone. Remember at the end of the day makeup washes off or you can remove the area you didn’t like and try again.
