Brands You Want To Try In 2018

Since the new year is almost upon us what brands are you hoping to try or check out in 2018?? I saw this done on youtube by Samantha March andI thought it would be fun for us to discuss. Two brands I really want totry out in 2018 are Tatcha and Farsali. I've tried out one or two random items from Tatcha but considering how fast some of their holiday sets went i'm really interested in trying some of their more popular items and of course Farsali just because it looks so fun and people are into it.

Liz Earle - because I adored every little DS I received from birchbox. I'd like to try a FS.

Hourglass - I hear great things about this brand, but I rarely use highlighters. I'm looking into blush 

A'pieu- because I loved their sorbet mask + compact 

Dior - I used to use their lip plumpers and lip glow. I miss those.

I've been meaning to try Mahalo ever since I saw y'all discussing the brand over in the Natural Skincare thread. Maybe this is the year I'll splurge...but I'm hoping they'll sell another sample set soon.

Also, The Ordinary. My skin loves lactic acid, and that price is incredible.

I haven’t heard of mahalo I’ll have to check them out @txcatx ! And yes I love that Sephora has picked up the ordinary I’m excited for their other new brand Sephora is supposed  to get as well!

I'm looking forward to getting some Hourglass and Stila into regularrotation... don't own any of either except one liquid shadow. Also ready to try Living Proof, IGK, maybe some others on the haircare side. Edit: I have a couple pieces already, but Fenty is going to become one of my cornerstone brands this year... I can feel it looming! lol

I need to test for flashback, but when my LM setting powder runs out I might just replace it with the least-shiny Ambient Lighting... that'sworked really well for me in a couple Sephora makeovers. And the reviews are mixed but the Modernist shadows (the gelato sets, haha) are so pretty-looking in the pan I might break down and get one.

Electric is amazing! I bought it on a whim (aisle of doom) and have zero regrets. Worth all of the hype.

Not so much brands but I have a few products I am eyeing to get my hands on: 

Ginza moisturizing emulsion and cleansing foam - I got a little travel set once, it was wonderfully elegant. 

Sulwhasoo snowise cleansing foam - so many great reviews

Haba VC lotion 

IPSA time reset aqua 

Biologique rocherche lotion p50

and literally all the Japanese liquid eyeliners/mascaras/mascara bases

Brand-wise, I'm interested in trying out SK-II.  I've heard and read great things about the line.  I picked up the PItera Essence Set last week with my $25 off and a gift card.

Not a brand, but skincare product-wise, I'm going to try introducing retinols into my skincare routine.  My skin is really sensitive and hasn't fared so well with retin-A or retinols in the past, but I wonder if with new skincare technologies and as I've aged and my skin has changed, whether it might better tolerate retinols - either that or I'll find out for certain that my skin and retinols just don't mix. 

On the makeup front, 2018 is the year I'm gonna give red lips a try.  Eeek!  I'm a little nervous about this one, but with all the new red lippies and everyone looking so great in them, I'm mustering up the courage to at least try.  I've been slowly (yes, molasses slow) easing into it, but I'll take the plunge next year - I've already purchased some for when I get started.

I’m very intrigued by SKII as well! And yes red lips have really seemed to be everywhere in the last few months!

@Kim888 ohhhhhhh! Great topic! As I sit and stare at my collection, I think the biggest thing I want to try more of is K Beauty. I already love Amore a Pacific for skincare but Inwant to try some of their makeup and Korean makeup brands in general. Especially Pony Effect!
