Best "No Makeup" Makeup?

HI everybody!

I need help finding best products for "no makeup" makeup! I'm looking for concealers, foundations, bronzers, powders, highlighters, eyeshadow, the whole 9 yards; because I'm revamping my whole makeup bag.

I'm quite fair in the winter months but get a dark tan in the summer, accompanied by a good amount of face freckles. I also tend to have dryer skin. I have been using NARS concealer and foundation as of late, but it is a bit too heavy and matte on me. I want to have some coverage (undereyes, uneven tone and the odd zit), but really want to keep it weightless, natural and beachy.

On natural makeup days one thing I concentrate on is having a smooth base to start from so I DEFINITELY prioritize skincare – toner/essence, serum, face oil, and cream.  I’m currently using Raw Sauce (though I see it was DC at Sephora, boo.), REN Keep Young and Beautiful, Caudalie Premier Cru Precious Oil and Tatcha Cream.  I have issues with redness in the wintertime so I’m trying Dr. Jart Cipacair, but I JUST added it so it’s too new to say if I like it.

For skin, I alternate between Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer and essentially making my own tinted moisturizer with CoverFX Custom Cover Drops.  For concealing acne and any redness not covered by tinted moisturizer (usually around my nose or lips) I love Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage.  If I’m feeling too lazy to use eye shadow I also apply it to my eyelids to brighten them up.  Under my eyes I opt for a creamer concealer (Marc Jacobs Full Cover Concealer)

I also tend to really like cream blushes and a nude lipstick with this look.  For me YSL 10 Beige Tribute - dark nude is my perfect nude.

My favorite foundation is IT Cosmetics CC Cream, its actually a tinted sunscreen but going on EXACTLY like a full coverage foundation. A light powder contour with Kat Von D's Light & Shade palette is perfect for light dimension. If I do a minimal look I actually use a little foundation on my lids, set it with translucent powder, and just add mascara. Mascara is all you need for your eyes, I just do the other steps to avoid my oily lids. Always fill in your eyebrows and you're good to go. I always say if I only have 3 minutes to do makeup, it'll be my brows and mascara. You can also add a little blush I use Bare Minerals, and tad of highlighter, becca is the best, and you're set for a natural glam look!

@KatherineSmith While I also love the IT Cosmetics CC cream for the reasons you list I'm trying to shop more from brands that have a wider shade selection.  I saw that they are working on expanding their line but it doesn't sound like they're getting any deeper shades.  It's a shame because it's such a great product.  I just have too many friends who can't use it because it doesn't come in deep enough shades.

I really like the bare minerals complexion rescue tint. It’s really light and moisturizing. I also like their under eye serum concealer for lighter coverage but I have pretty dark circles. When I want to go with a really light look I go for a bobby brown cream blush color in pink powder. It can also be used on the lips. A little mascara and you are good to go! For a little more, I fill in my brows with a pencil and add some neutral colors from one of my urban decay makeup palettes with no eyeliner. Even more, I add in some eyeliner, lipliner, lipstick, and gloss. If I get to this step, I’m probably going for a full face and have some medium coverage foundation and am committed to the project though.

I have oily skin and this is what I use: Dermalogica pure light spf50 moisturizer, Laura Gellar baked foundation, Maybelline age rewind concealer in corrector, Marc Jacobs black highliner in my upper waterline only, Hourglass radiant light bronzer, (I use it in my crease on my eyes for definition as well) Ofra highlighter in Bali (inner corners too) and I top it off with some Lash Paradise and Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day setting spray. Takes me about 5-10 minutes and makes me look fresh faced all day! I don’t like using liquid foundations on days like this because I like my skin to show through. The Laura Gellar baked foundations are sooooo gorgeous! It just helps match my face to the rest of my body and gives a natural glow. She makes some amaaaazing blushes too. Totally underrated! ❤️❤️❤️
