Advice needed!

I love using highlighter! But I feel like it looks to glitter-ish to me. I'm more of a natural light but if anyone knows a good highlighter to help me get a natural less glitter look please help! I use the Anatasia Glow Kit and Champange Pop by Becca.

RE: Advice needed!

In my experience Becca Golden Mint and Vanilla Quartz work well on my winter pale skin. Hourglass does offer natural highlighters if you get the right color (for your skin tone). I heard that Fenty’s white highlighter (you will see which One it is as it’s the only one totally white in the box)is really natural looking. Other than that liquid highlighters are a way to go. I have a few and recently got one from Lancome. It gives me the most beautiful natural looking glow.

Re: Advice needed!

@izzytran I agree with the recommendations below - Liquid illuminators, especially when mixed with foundation or BB Cream can give you a lovely, dewy, natural glow.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders are also great for a subtle “lit from within” glow, but I recommend avoiding the new Ambient Strobe palette as the highlighters in that one are seriously intense.

Anastasia Beverly Hills also makes some beautiful illuminators (different from their Glow Kits) that give a lovely, subtle glow.

Good luck!💗

omg thanks!

Re: Advice needed!

Would you be open to cream/liquid highlighters?

I find that liquid ones such as the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector liquid, or MAC Strobe Cream, or cream formulas like Benefit Watt's Up!, give the most natural results.

Re: Advice needed!

Yes! I was looking at the Fenty Beauty one. Thank you!!

Re: Advice needed!

Just a warning that some of the Fenty shimmer sticks have quite a bit of glitter! I definitely agree that for a natural, dewy look, the cream/liquid products generally seem best, at least in my experience. Sometimes, I top them off with a powder highlighter for an extra oomph.

Re: Advice needed!

My personal favorite highlighters for a natural, healthy glow are the ones by RMS. I have both Living Luminizer and Champagne Rose Luminizer, and I prefer the Champagne Rose one because the formula seems a little softer and easier to blend. They're so easy to just dab on with your fingers for a dewy complexion.

I also like the Milk Holographic Stick in Mars for a dewy look. This one seems a bit moisturizing, which I love in the winter months.

Thxs!!!

Re: Advice needed!

I love Too Faced Candlelight Glow, it’s just gives a nice healthy glowy look without looking like tinker bell blew fairy dusk all over you. I have it swatched so you can compare how it looks to others.226A373C-E9A2-4AC8-86D6-58D3EA46FCB7.gif

❤️ happy to help @izzytran! ☺️

Re: Advice needed!

I always stayed away from highlighters because I never wanted to make my pores look bigger until I tried the Hourglass highlighters! They are so beautiful! I have the holiday palette and the 3 pan highlighter palette and let me tell ya, they’re definitely worth the money! They don’t have glitter and don’t accentuate texture or pores.  You can make them look natural or intense. Another one I like is the Bobbi Brown pink glow highlighter. Very beautiful color for fair skin and doesn’t look glittery either.

Re: Advice needed!

Hourglass highlighters are great for no glitter dewy look.
