Top Five Most Reached-For Lipstick Shades

I find it hard to browse for lipstick shades.  You can sort lip products by things like bestselling or top-rated, but it's a bit harder to figure out which particular shades are the best.  So I decided to start this thread to see which lipstick shades you reach for the most.

My five, in no particular order:

1. Dior Rouge Lipstick in Daisy Plum

2. Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint in Moody

3. Bobbi Brown Lipstick in Brownie

4. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita

5. Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Chihuahua

Bonus round:

These lipsticks are pretty dramatic for everyday wear, but when it comes to wearing a dramatic lip, these are the shades I reach for the most:

1. Dior Rouge Lipstick in Visionary Matte

2. Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick in Studded

In no order, my top 5 are: Morange by MAC, Darling by Dior (Rouge), Red Sinner by Lipstick Queen, Rebel Rose by Buxom and Rock Steady by Urban Decay.

@IciclePop I mentioned the Carmax lip balm because it is the only product that seems to help my dry lips. After the Bite Agave Lip Mask ruined my lips I have looked for the perfect lip balm which is soothing to my lips. Another BIC member recommended it so I figured why not try it plus it is cheap. I highly recommend it and will always keep a tube in my pocketbook. Another plus is that it contains 15 SFP.

Oh okay.  The products I've had the best luck with are Farmacy Honey Savior and Josie Maran Infinity Cream.  I've found that a lot of the lip balms that are specifically marketed for lips can be a bit too waxy.  Since these are marketed as all-over moisturizers, they have more oily consistencies, which I think help them to soak in better.  Though of course, if you've already found something that works then don't mind me! @Loretta55

I’v tried The JM Infinity Cream but it did not give me the results that I was hoping for @IciclePop. I have lost  count how many products that I have tried for my dry lips but the Carmex Lip Balm has given me the best results. BTW I have not tried the Farmacy Honey Savior yet.

My lifetime favourite is Chanel in Metallic Vamp (1996) and unfortunately was a LE and I haven’t seen a similar shade from Chanel since 😢

Oh my gosh @keana1 I freaking love this whole post!!  It's so refreshing to see someone throw this whole matte craze to the wind and say "I want to wear sparkly purple, so gosh darn it, I WILL wear sparkly purple!!"

@IciclePop Thanks! I only have one matte lipstick in my small arsenal! It’s MAC lipstick in Ruby Woo which was a gratis from Sephora and MAC and I happen to enjoy it since it’s not drying like many other mattes ! Ever since I have used lipsticks I am always attracted to purples !
