Strange Particle in Lip Balm - Has Anyone Else Noticed This ??

photo_2025-05-08_13-49-53.jpg
Hi all girly! I recently noticed that my lip balm (from Ami Colé) has something small inside it—like a particle or speck. I reached out to the brand directly, and they assured me it's safe to use. Still, I wanted to ask the community:

Has anyone else noticed something unusual inside their lip balm—specifically from Ami Colé?
Would love to hear if others have experienced the same thing, or if this might be a one-off issue.

I’m writing to share a concern regarding Lip Treatment Oil, which I received as a gift and have only recently started using. My boyfriend purchased it from a Sephora store at an airport in China in November 2024 while traveling. I didn’t open or use the product until April 2025, and since then, I’ve used it only three times.

To my surprise and concern, I noticed green mold or a fungus-like substance growing inside the tube. This is quite alarming, especially since I have stored the product properly in a cool, dry place and followed normal hygiene practices.

I’ve attached photos to show exactly what I found. I’m reaching out to ask you guy about this.

This can happen with anything if the applicator comes in contact with anything not clean. It’s put back in & now the bacteria grows.

So, I can't personally attest to this happening.  I have several shades, some not recently opened and haven't noticed a discoloration.  @sentrachea , you already reached out to the company, which would be my suggestion as they have decent CS, but it's up to you to decide.  There's an old reddit thread where it's stated it's unmixed pigment.

The company said it safe to used, but I’m not sure is it okay to continue using it. For me personally I don’t want to use it anymore 🫠
