Moisturizing Matte Lipstick

I have tried so many lip treatments, lips masks exfoliating, Vaseline/chapstick before applying lipstick, but I can never seem to keep my lips hydrated and after my daily wear and removal you can see how dry my lips are. I do not have cracking or peeling just dry lips. I only like to wear matte lipstick as it stays on and usually doesn't require re application throughout the day as others require alot of lip maintenance. Any suggestions for Matte Lipsticks or Matte Liquid lipsticks are moisturizing? If I don't wear lipstick, I don't have a problem with dry lips.

I definitely have to second the aquaphor recommendation, I also have insanely dry lips and can’t go anywhere without my Aquaphor. Keep one in my bag & nightstand lol. I too find it’s perfect for applying and then blotting off right before I apply matte lipsticks like Charlotte Tilbury. I also love the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea lipsticks; matte but not drying. Sadly I just can’t do liquid lipsticks from any brand.

Thank you. I bought aquaphor today and used it with my matte. So far so good I hope it works for me. I'm starting to think matte isnt for me but I love it so much.

Mac lipsticks are amazing and are available on line at sephora. For liquid try Tarte liquid lipstick, really good! Also make sure you exfoliate your lips regularly. Another thing that helps is the Algenist lip collagen every night, makes a big difference on how your lips look and feel

You’ve probably already tried this but, here’s the only way I can wear any liquid matte by any brand (and I’ve tried MANY brands): 

1. Make sure bare lips are smooth first; exfoliate if needed. 
2. Rub water over lips with my finger, for hydration. 
3. Apply lip balm to seal in that hydration. I use plain ol’ Aquaphor ointment. Nothing else works as well for me. 
4. Give balm a few minutes to absorb. In the morning, I wait around 5 minutes while doing other skincare steps. On the go, I wait at least a minute. 
5. Blot off excess balm, but not enough that my lips are left dry. I don’t usually need to do this in the morning, but on the go I sometimes overapply and don’t allow enough time for it all to absorb. 
6. Apply lip primer. This further seals in hydration and moisturization, plus it fills in some of my lip lines and prevents bleeding/feathering. I use MAC Prep + Prime Lip and give it 2 minutes to set. 
7. Apply liquid matte (and lip liner, if I decide to use one). 

With that prep in mind, the most comfy liquid mattes—and the only ones I can tolerate longer than 2 hours—I’ve ever worn are NARS - Powermatte Lip Pigment and MAKE UP FOR EVER - Artist Liquid Matte Lipstick. Neither of those are moisturizing (I’ve yet to find a liquid matte that is), but they don’t turn my lips into a desert and they have great staying power.

@Bigboobs I also have never found any matte lipsticks to be moisturizing, but I'll second CHARLOTTE TILBURY - Matte Revolution Lipstick as a not particularly drying matte lipstick. Also, NARS - Powermatte Lip Pigment.

@Bigboobs I don’t find any matte hydrating but ones that don’t dry my lips are CHARLOTTE TILBURY - Matte Revolution Lipstick

and TRèSTIQUE - Matte Color & Shiny Balm Lip Crayon
