Lips keep peeling

Help!

My lips have been peeling/flaky the past 3+ weeks and I'm starting to get frustrated... it's not bleeding and there are very thin flaky bits. I have only scrubbed my lips once but it made it worse. My lips don't hurt, it just feels tight after the skin flakes off and new skin starts growing.. 

I've tried several lip balms that I own.. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment, EOS, Bite Agave lip mask, First Aid Beauty balm (the one in the tub) and the new Farmacy one.

So far it seems like Farmacy Honey Butter lip balm is kinda working, but my lips still keep peeling/flaking.

Do you think I'm lacking in some vitamin/mineral? I'm already taking omega 3 supplements.

Picked these up during my lunch, hopefully it'll help! I think I'm allergic to castor oil because the same thing happened when I used the Bite agave lip mask.... No matter how much I applied, it kept peeling. I went through half the tube before giving up to try another brand. I'm glad these lippies don't have castor oil.

A few years ago I had severe chapped lips (overnight went from normal to flaky, painful, bleeding, etc.). I went to the dermatologist, and she recommended lanolin (aka nipple cream). It is super emollient and safe to eat (after all, infants consume it while breast feeding) and it changed my lips. I now buy it religiously and always have some on me. I know yours aren't painful or bleeding, but it might be worth a shot!

Dr. Dan's CortiBalm works really well on severely chapped lips. I always recommend this lip balm in Accutane help threads, and I think it would work well for you, too. You can find it at the drugstore and online at places like Amazon.

Have you tried the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask? I have chronically dry, chapped lips and it helps tremendously. I also use it during the day, because it sinks right in and lasts several hours after applying.

I am unsure about vitamin deficiency problems so I cannot advise you on that.

I've only used the lip mask the last two nights and a bit in the morning before I leave to work.. And holy crap I'm impressed! My lips have started to show signs of healing. Great recommendation! Thank you 🤗
