Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks or No?

Recently discovered Kat Von D's Liquid Lipstick in the shade 'Requiem' at my local Sephora and fell in love with the color. However, I've heard some controversial things about the formula- drying, not drying, that sort of thing. Any opinions?

I love the shades. The formula is amazing- not sticky or overly drying.They've lasted all day on me and I can say they are more than worth it! @westcoastlife

I've been wearing both KVD liquid lips and stuffed lips since the came out (I have 20+studied lips 10+ liquids and a couple of metallic from some of her first released colors). I do have the color you spoke of and have had no problems. With that being said I do use Uber Decay lippy. I put it on as I being my make up routine, this way it is all sink in by the time I get to my lips If there is some on my lips I'll wipe it off with a towe, if I don't it takes more time for the liquid lipstick from drying. After that I use KVD lip liners. I have noticed since the lip liners came out the lip sticks/ liquid lips last much longer, don't dry out the lips and no bleeding. I gave seen where some of the darker colors can get blotchy. I wipe the applicators on the rim of the bottle several times, to the point there is very little product. You can easily layer it this way to make it dark, without it getting thick or blotchy. The liner really helps with this problem too. P.s I often like using lip liners that are slightly different color then the lips colors. it makes some unique lip colors.

I love the KVD liquid lips but you definitely want to moisturize your lips prior or they will be dry!!

I use a light lip balm first, and my lip do not get dry.

I love her ever lasting lip sticks..they really last am long time even through eating a small meal..however if u don't put a little moisturizer underneath they can dry out lips.

I love them. I wore her limited edition color Project Chimp (a blood red color) for my wedding without any primer and didn't reapply it once. Was perfect the entire day through everything. Sure, it's a bit dry but it doesn't flake off or look dry in any of my wedding photos!

I love how pigments KvD liquid lipsticks are but you have to make sure you carry it with you in order to reapply

Kat Von D is great and the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks are amazing! They have great pigmentation and are long lasting with a lip primer. Without a primer my lips crack badly and the lipstick becomes really patchy & drying.

I am also interested in knowing what primer you use. Based on reviews I just bought my first lipstick and want to use for my wedding day, but my lips are super dry (even though I daily use Blistex). I did just buy the BITE agave lip scrub to help with this.

Basically, wanted to know what primer you used to help with the dryness.

Which primer do you use before you apply the Kat von d lipstick?

I don't really love them. I find them drying and uncomfortable. And the staying power isn't really all that amazing either, in my own opinion. There are a TON of shades though, so KvD has that going for her.

Kat Von D is my go to, also! I have about 8 different shades of it and love them all. It does dry quick but it's great to me.

If you are talking about the everlasting liquid lipstick, then YES!! Very good pigmentation, feels light on the lips and is long lasting. 44 colors to choose from!
