Bite beauty horrible allergies

For 4 years.. i know 

I have been suffering of an horrible allergy in my lips. I went to the dermatologist I did everything i can. But never stopped my bite products..🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ I stopped about 2 months and everything was perfect. Last night i tried and use the agave lip mask.. and oh Lord. My lips are swollen, itching, cracking. And I know its gonna take FOREVER to heal. Be careful. My thoughts were they are organicand there’s nothing to worried about. I was completely wrong.

@albamarie2 Organic definitely doesn’t give us a blanket safeguard. I think many of us tend to think that the terms “organic” and “clean” and “sourced from natural ingredients” in cosmetics mean that a product will be better or safe for us. However, if we have a pre-existing allergy to an ingredient, it won’t even matter. 

For example, I’m very allergic to fresh pineapple, regardless of how organically it may have been grown. If it exists in any product I come in contact with, I don’t stand a chance 😊

Lanolin is the first ingredient in the agave mask. Many people (myself included) have allergies to it. Unfortunately it's in a lot of lip products from many brands, so you have to read labels carefully.  At least now you know what to stay away from.  Hope things heal soon.

You are not the only one to report being allergic to Bite products- there is a thread about this very topic on this board.

People should keep in mind that just because something is 'natural', doesn't mean that it is good for you or that you won't have a reaction to it.
