Sleeping masks?

Do these really make a difference? I have dry to combination skin. If so what are your favorites that won't cause acne?

Re: Sleeping masks?

I really like sleeping masks - for me, I feel like their benefits last longer than sheet masks. My favorite mask is ENature's Birch Juice sleeping mask (sold by SokoGlam) - it's a great hydrator and gentle enough for sensitive skin.

RE: Sleeping masks?

I think they make a huge difference. I am LOVING my Watermelon sleeping mask currently and I barely have to use any and I wake up in the morning with much nicer skin.

RE: Sleeping masks?

I'm loving this mask too!

The Laneige water sleeping mask is the OG sleeping mask. I have combo skin with a tendency for breakouts on the chin, and I love to use it as it soothes the inflammation around pimples as well as moisturizing. I also like to use the Dr. Dennis Gross sulfur mask as a sleeping mask on trouble areas

Re: Sleeping masks?

I've only used The Creme's hydronic acid sleeping mask before. BUT CAN I JUST SAY, IT WORKS WONDERS. I wake up with beautiful supple glowing skin in the morning. I have dry to combo skin and it works wonderfully. The Creme has, I believe, three other sleeping masks. I even found them at Marshalls a few times. Sleeping masks is a game changer!!

Re: Sleeping masks?

i also have dry/combo skin, and i use the laneige water sleeping mask every night, leaves your skin hydrated when you wake up! it hasn't caused me any breakouts, but you have to remember to wash it off in the morning or else that might cause you to break out

Re: Sleeping masks?

I personally think they do make a difference, my makeup applies well in the morning after using a sleeping mask, the same way it applies well immediately after a sheet mask. I've tried the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask and the Laneige Firming Sleeping Mask and I like the firming one better. My skin feels really plump the next day. I have oily skin but its very dehydrated so I get mad flaky patches and angry red acne, and this mask doesn't disturb my skin at all, it hydrates it well.

Re: Sleeping masks?

Sleeping masks/packs are mostly used in place of a moisturizer, so you can use one every day of the week if you wanted to. The only drawback to be careful of is high amounts of silicones which can lead to breakouts for some people. But otherwise, sleeping masks are safe to use as frequently or ill-frequently as desired. Ones that I've used and liked- TooCoolForSchool Pumpkin, COSRX Propolis/Honey, Goodal Waterest, Goodal Tangerine.

Re: Sleeping masks?

I think sleeping masks are best for those with dry skin. If you have combo/oily skin, I would only use a sleeping mask if you want to look glowy the next day, perhaps for an event or date or something of that sort.

I have dry skin and my favorite sleeping masks are: Korres wild rose sleeping facial and glamglow's thirstymud.

If you have dry skin (or experiencing very cold weather),...

If you have dry skin (or experiencing very cold weather), sleeping masks are wonderful. I highly recommend the Laniege sleeping mask! My face felt moisturized and so soft the day after. Just remember to wash your face (still!) in the morning.

Re: Sleeping masks?

@PeytA I started using sleeping masks recently and the biggest difference I see is that my skin is more plum and soft and hydrated in the morning. I have dry skin so I apply essence, serum and moisturizer but after 15 min my face soaks everything in. When I use mask on top of it my face feels moisturized even in the morning. Recently I used AmorePacific Sleeping Mask (sadly I only had a sample of it but I plan to purchase FS) and I loved that one - very light, pleasant light smell and keeps the moisture all night. Next I will be trying GLOW RECIPE Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask. And I use sleeping masks 1-2 a week.

Re: Sleeping masks?

I don't want to be a debbie downer- but I haven't heard many good things about the GR Watermelon mask- there are better ones in the market for cheaper too.

Re: Sleeping masks?

I try to use a sleeping mask every night. I rotate between two or three, for different purposes. My current fave is cosrx overnight rice mask. It's just so moisturizing, my face feels super soft when I wake up. Sometimes I don't even bother washing it off if I m in a hurry, since it's colorless. It appears to even control the oil on my T-zone!

RE: Sleeping masks?

Personally I love using sleeping masks when I want my skin to look less dull and more glowy the next day. A good one that I would recommend is the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask that works for all skin types.
