Sephora opened its first North American store (NYC) 27 years ago today, 7.17.1998! 🎉 What was the first product (makeup, skincare, bath & body, hair care, fragrance, etc.) you purchased at Sephora (in store or online)? 🛍

If you have memorabilia, keepsakes or packaging from Sephora, check out Sephora Nostalgia, Memorabilia, History & Packaging Thread - we'd love to see and hear about those throwbacks!
I'm just now seeing this thread! My first Sephora purchase was the Tarina Terantino Floriculture eyeshadow palette in 2013. I only destashed it a year or two ago.

I thought the Urban Decay Naked 3 was my first purchase but I just remembered that I bought the Jessica Simpson Dessert lipglosses when they came out! I was on vacation in Miami and bought a set of minis at Dadeland mall. They tasted so good! I was like 15.
I forgot Jessica Simpson had lipglosses, @makeitup305!
Same @curlychiquita @makeitup305 I remember bath and body products with a dessert theme 🧁 but I think that may have been near the end of her line?
@itsfi I don't remember her at B&BW but I didn't live in the US at the time so I'm not sure. She just had a few products at sephora and they were all supposed to be edible. There was like a glitter body puff or something similar and maybe a mousse body cream?
@makeitup305, I didn’t mean she was at Bath & Body Works but that she had bath and body products at Sephora as part of her line, like body sprays etc. I do remember them supposedly being edible but don’t remember ever buying anything from her brand. Anyways, what a throwback.
@itsfi sorry! I was replying at like 5 am and misread lol
@curlychiquita I can't remember if I had the sparkly powder, too. I remember it all smelled so good.
I think it was a tub of Terax Crema conditioner in 2003 or 2004. 😂 Back when the internet was a baby!
Oh my goodness @curlychiquita! I remember Terax - the packaging was navy blue, baby blue and pink back then, if I'm remembering right. 🤔 think I had one of those conditioners in my hall closet (aka beauty backup storage) up until the renovations.
@itsfi , I don’t even remember! I just remember it was a tub and not a bottle.
@itsfi My first purchase was a Clinique black honey set in 2012/2013? I can’t remember what all was in it but I know it had the Almost lipstick in black honey. I was on vacation in Las Vegas and the hotel had a Sephora. I had never heard of Sephora so I was like a kid in a candy store and I’ve been hooked ever since 😂
@faeriegirl, that sounds like a fantastic experience to have as your first Sephora adventure. Ahhhh, Clinique black honey is a classic. 1000% agree on feeling like a kid in a candy store.
🤔🤔🤔🤔😑 @itsfi
There are some items that I do remember, but I'm unsure of the very first one, 😮...it might have been the Fresh Umbrian Clay Bar. I remember breaking it at one point, and just keeping it because I was like... "This is too expensive to not use 😂, I will use it all"
I did go through emails, and found this gem after seeing @Samtian 's post

OMG, yes Mildew is one of the ones I still have! Luckily I live in a dry climate, lol. @danielledanielle
The gift boxes!!! Loved those @danielledanielle. Your list brings back memories.
@danielledanielle That's some good stuff there! That Mildew is/was so pretty!
