1.) What is VIB Rouge?
VIB Rouge is our newest and most premium membership tier. When you spend $1,000 on merchandise purchases (excluding gift cards, egift certificates, taxes & shipping) on Sephora.com, in U.S. and Canadian Sephora stores and/or in Sephora inside jcpenney locations within one calendar year (January-December), you qualify for VIB Rouge status. VIB Rouge is good for the calendar year in which you qualify and the following calendar year. Annual re-qualification is required.
2.) When did VIB Rouge begin?
VIB Rouge launched on July 23, 2013. If you spent $1,000 in 2013 by July 23, 2013, you qualified for VIB Rouge status.
3.) What qualifies as spend towards VIB Rouge?
All merchandise purchases (excluding gift cards, egift certificates, taxes & shipping) on Sephora.com, in U.S. and Canadian Sephora stores and/or in Sephora inside jcpenney locations during one calendar year (January-December) count towards the $1,000 spend requirement. VIB Rouge is good for the calendar year in which you qualify and the following calendar year. Annual requalification is required.
4.) Do merchandise purchases made a Sephora inside jcpenney locations count towards the VIB Rouge spend requirement?
Yes. All merchandise purchases (excluding gift cards, egift certificates, taxes & shipping) count towards the $1,000 spend requirement.
5.) Is VIB Rouge available in Canada?
Yes. VIB Rouge is available in Canada.
6.) When does my VIB Rouge status expire?
VIB Rouge status is good for the calendar year in which the BI member qualifies and the following calendar year. Annual requalification is required.
7.) What benefits do I get as a VIB Rouge client?
As a VIB Rouge client, you receive the following benefits:

8.) If I am VIB Rouge, do I still qualify for regular BI and VIB benefits? Yes. In addition to all the additional benefits you receive as a VIB Rouge member, you still receive all the benefits Beauty Insiders and VIBs receive.
9.) I have 1000 points, why don’t I qualify for VIB Rouge?
If you have accumulated points over the years and have 1,000 points in your Beauty Bank, you must still spend $1,000 on merchandise at Sephora.com, in a Sephora retail store or in a Sephora inside jcpenney store within a calendar year (January-December) to qualify for VIB Rouge. VIB Rouge is good for the calendar year in which you qualify and the following calendar year. Annual requalification is required.
10.) I haven’t received my VIB Rouge Welcome Kit.
Where can I get one? When making a purchase online at sephora.com you will be prompted to add a VIB Rouge Welcome Kit to your basket during the checkout process if you qualify for Rouge status. When making a purchase at a Sephora retail store or Sephora inside jcpenney store, your cashier will give you your VIB Rouge Welcome Kit if you qualify for Rouge status.
11.) Will I receive the same VIB Rouge Welcome Kit online as I would in store?
Because you do not need a Beauty Insider membership card to shop online at Sephora.com, the VIB Rouge Welcome Kit you receive online will not include a membership card, but it will include everything else the kit includes. The VIB Rouge Welcome Kit you receive in store will include a membership card.
12.) Will returning merchandise affect my VIB Rouge Status? If you have qualified for VIB Rouge, returning merchandise will NOT affect your current year’s VIB Rouge status. However, annual requalification is required.
13.) I have already signed up for 2-day Flash shipping, but as a VIB Rouge client I receive Free Standard Shipping. Will I be reimbursed?
As a VIB Rouge member, if you would like to be reimbursed for Flash shipping please call Customer Service at 855-RougeVIB.
14.) Are the “Special Surprise Gifts” VIB Rouge clients will receive going to be the same samples we receive today as VIB members?
The same great offers will be offered to our VIB members throughout the year; however, additional offers will be available to VIB Rouge members only.
15.) I see a "VIB Rouge" board in BeautyTalk, but I receive an error message when I try to access it. Why is that?
The VIB Rouge board is exclusively available for VIB Rouge members. When you reach the Rouge level you will be granted access to the board.
Just hit VIB Rouge! Thanks for offering another level; free shipping with no minimum and using the Beauty Studio with no purchase are huge perks. I'm disappointed to see all of the comments complaining about the nature of the 'surprise gifts'. Sephora offers samples with every purchase, samples you can get with points and there's always some promo code to get a deluxe sample (or a clutch full of samples!). I ordered one $30 product and ended up with a basket full of goodies that will be delivered to my house, for free, in three days - that is frickin' cool! Thanks Sephora - I will always go to you first for beauty products.
How long after hitting Rouge does it normally take to hit your account? I just hit it in store today, and then wanted to place some orders online but since it hasn't hit my account yet I would have to pay for shipping- which I don't really want to have to do since with rouge I would get it free.

I'm Flash & Rouge, I'm concerned since Flash is a beta/test program from what I understand that if I ask for a reimbursement I may not be reinvited in the future if I don't requalify for Rouge next year. Anyone else thinking along these lines?
I just hit Rouge, I have Flash, and I'm planning on keeping it. Rouge gets free 3 day shipping no minimum, Flash has free 2 day no minimum. That extra day matters to me, and I agree, I don't want to opt out in case I decide Rouge is not worth it. Groupon released the $5 for $10 Sephora gift card promo right when I got my Flash invite, and with my rebate savings, Rouge only cost about $4.75. Very worth $4.75 in my opinion.
Will there ever actually be any rouge only offers? I've been hoping, maybe a little better discount at the VIB sale even. I've placed countless orders since rouge began and am usually lucky if I get the samples I request- I've just accepted the surprise gift as a rouse to keep me ordering.
I do not think VIB Rouge is anything other than VIB. I don't know if it was ever intended to be different or if there's some sort of issue with creating bigger, better perks for Rouge.
I'm wondering the same exact thing. I've heard that there have been VIB Rouge events, but I've never ever gotten any emails about any. It'll be such a huge disappointment if we don't even get a little something extra during the Celebration of Giftopia.
I just received my Celebration of Giftopia coupon in the mail today. It is just 20% off... same as regular VIB 😞
Well that sucks. What's the point of even creating another tier if we don't even get any extra perks. I haven't even heard of anyone getting any special surprise gift like they promoted.
The free shipping isn't even that big of a perk since I usually spend $65+ and qualify for free shipping anyway.
I'm not sure if we'll get anything extra during Giftopia, but I can say that as a Rouge member, I have already enjoyed complete makeup applications for free twice. You get as many as you want, instead of having to buy a $50 gift card. I think that's a pretty sweet perk.
Whenever I've tried they've always said they were too busy or couldnt help because they were getting off in 15 minutes. I didn't even ask for a full face
It's only a perk if you are able or want to take advantage of it. Some people are very far from a store and I have serious reservations about letting unlicensed people apply cosmetics to my face. My local stand alone is so unkempt that I would describe it as gross and the same people responsible for letting the store get into and remain in that condition are the ones being trusted to apply makeup in a supposedly sanitary manner.
I think it's still a perk they're offering whether you take advantage of it or not. It's not something I am very interested in taking advantage of either, though my closest store has always been quite clean as far as I've seen. I'm usually wearing my makeup the way I want to be before I head out to the store, so taking it all off and having it redone isn't very appealing.
I had to laugh when I popped in the other day after rushing out of the house with only a touch of eyeshadow and some mascara on... I was there to redeem a fragrance voucher and ask about a foundation brush and the girl assumed I wanted the brush because I needed better coverage from my foundation. Nooo, I'm just not wearing any right now! 🙂
By that logic they could offer free punches in the back of the head and call it a perk. No one would take advantage of it but hey it's offered.
Actually, I'd rather have a punch in the back of the head my stand alone was truly disgusting on Saturday and I was there as it opened, no excuse for it. The one inside JCP is much cleaner but doesn't have the same selection.
I qualified for rouge but the store i was at said the welcome kits no longer exist and i just got a rouge card is there any way to get the welcome kit?

I've qualified for VIB rouge twice and have it thru all 2014 but I havent gotten anything beyond the initial welcome kit. When do the free seasonal gifts show up?
A couple weeks ago I went into Sephora and I asked how many more points I needed to qualify and they said 7. Today I went in and made a purchase of about $50 so that means I should have qualified for a VIB Rouge. If I have passed the calendar year by like literally a week or so I will be really unsatisfied with Sephora since I've been dedciated shopper to Sephora for more than 4 years now.... Is there any way I can verify when I can qualify 😞
