New Charge for makeover.

Did anyone else see or hear about this? I first figured this out when I went to book a cm in the DC metro area and it said there’s an $80 fee which doesn’t include any product spend. So all you get for the $80 isthe makeup application. Apparently as Rouge members we can have the freecm until the end of the year. After that we too must pay. There was also an eye makeup application for $40 again no product included. I know I won’t be working to get Rouge status any longer. Thoughts?

Re: New Charge for makeover.

I went to a location in Texas and was charged. $60 w/o product - I didn't think to ask if the policy changed before services nor was I notified. I was told Texas is a "pilot state" and that they will decide January if they will implement elsewhere. I would suggest Sephora not go this route - otherwise, yesterday was the last time I'll be using that service.

What's your source that says makeovers won't be free for Rouge next year?

RE: Re: New Charge for makeover.

I want to know about this too because I’ve been finding the availability of CMs in Toronto Canada is few to none this year and I earned rouge for this perk- if they’re getting rid of it(and I haven’t seen it advertised) I’m going to buy my makeup at Nordstrom, Beauty Boutiques at the department stores and Drug stores and get rewarded for my purchases. Not impressed by this.

RE: Re: New Charge for makeover.

My source is the customer service reply in the thread if you type incustom makeup charge. I initially thought they were raising the required spend of $50 to $80 for non Rouge members but this is not the case. Letme see if I can screenshot for you. Try to book a cm for any location in the DC area and you’ll see where it simply says $80 fee.

It may seem like a fine line, but she does not say that there will be a charge next year...she simply states that makeovers are still free for the rest of the year. The importance of that distinction lies in the past:

Last year, Sephora used the same "free until the end of the year" verbiage all the way up until December 31. On Jan 1, they announced free makeovers would continue for another year. So...next year has yet to be determined. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if they do actually take free makeovers away, or impose some sort of limit on them...but nothing has been confirmed yet, and likely won't be until Jan 1.
