Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

Hey BIC, we're one week into the new year! Winter break is just about over for a lot of kids with many heading back to the classroom tomorrow (Monday) or soon, if they haven't already started back up. Thought I'd bring back a fun, favorite game from a few years ago with school picking back up. This will be a little lesson in Learning our  A, B, C's: The BIC Beauty Edition.
ABC - Sephora BIC Edition.jpg

WHAT ARE WE DOING?:
* Basically, we will be going through the alphabet with beauty products, with the applicable letter being either (1) the first letter in the brand's name or (2) the first letter of the product's name.
     - For example, for A - A can be for amika Soulfood Nourishing Hair Mask  (A = Amika) or A can be for Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray Jumbo 8.11 oz / 240 mL  (A = All Nigher Spray)
     - The next person will tag a product or brand that begins with B and then the next person will tag a product/brand that begins with C, then D, E, F, .... until we get to Z, and then we start over again!

HOW TO PLAY:
* Look for the most recent comment to the original post
* Take your turn, by hitting "Reply" to original post and replying directly to that  main post (and not to the most recent comment)
* In your reply, be sure to:
-- tag the product with the hashtag - #<<type name of product>>
-- tag the person you are replying to with @ + the user name of the most recent comment
* When we get through the alphabet, we'll start over again with "A"
* There will be items repeated, but it would be great if we try to avoid repeating a product on the same page you're on.
* Optional: add a fun fact about the product you're tagging - what do you love about it, or if there was a reason you chose it (other than it being the next letter) - it's a favorite/holy grail product, it's a product you've been wanting to try, etc.

TO START:
* I will" reply" to the original / main post and tag a product or brand that begins with the letter A
* The next person will also "reply" to the original / main post but this person will tag a product or brand that begins with the letter B (also, remember to tag me - @itsfi)
* The next person will then also "reply" to the original / main post, but this person will tag a product or brand that begins with the letter C (and remember to tag the person who posted the letter B product / brand)
* We will continue in this way until we get to Z and then the next person will start back with the letter "A", with everyone replying to the original / main post.

FYI: Origins of this tag game
Spoiler
The original tag game was created by our amazing @AlexBT, who was gracious and enthusiastic when giving me the okay when I checked in with her about reviving this. Thank you for coming up with this fun and fabulous idea in the first place - it was a blast when you introduced it in 2020 (All Aboard the Tag Train: Play Along), and I'm hoping it will be so again this year. Would love to see you and others on @TeamBIC join in, along with the rest of the beauties on BIC.
I will start off in a separate reply below โ€“ donโ€™t forget to respond by replying to this main post instead of my reply. Here we go!

Ooh yum! I love French onion soup. I was in Vermont along time ago and a restaurant there, in a hotel, had amazing French Onion Soup. I feel like I need to make it now, it's been along time. You just brought back great memories for me @Loretta55 ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’ž

Re: Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

I had the best onion soup in Montreal as a teenager @CynthieLu. I canโ€™t figure out why it doesnโ€™t taste the same when I try to make it @CynthieLu. I found a restaurant that comes close to the Canadian version but not quite the same. Too many restaurants place Swiss cheese on top but Gruyรจre cheese is essential. It is the broth I can not quite duplicate.

Re: Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

Yaaaas the cheese matters, and the bread too. Lol.

At home growing up we ate it a lot and it was just Lipton French onion soup but restaurants can usually do it much better. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ( I do have to add my grandmother would only make it from scratch. Ahhh the memories ๐Ÿ’œ)

Montreal would have the best @Loretta55 that's a great memory to have! I would love to try it from a good place like that. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Re: Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

@Loretta55, Iโ€™m so sorry you broke your finger. That sounds painful. Very happy this product worked out so well for you. I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve tried this particular scent but Iโ€™ll be sure to look for a tester in store to check out the scent.

Re: Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

Vanilla is one of my favorite scents @itsfi. I have quite a few back ups of them. I went through a bottle for the two weeks that I wore my cast. Also #Josie Maran Mini Bear Naked Wipes 30 Wipes worked for both facial and body cleansing.

Re: Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

Iโ€™ve recently (in the last couple of years) developed more of a fondness for vanilla scents @Loretta55. Itโ€™s interesting how things like that change over time. Iโ€™ve heard really good things about those Josie Maran wipes. Iโ€™m glad her products are still available online but I do miss seeing some of her things in store.

Re: Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

I didnโ€™t realize that her products were not available in stores @itsfi. I have not been to a free standing store in about 9 months. When I tried to tag her products I was reminded of some of her previous releases.

Re: Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

@Loretta55, there are 6 Sephora stores in the city and the last time I saw her products in any one of them (that I recall at least) was maybe 2 or 3 years ago; maybe even longer than that. I just remember seeing a small handful of jars of her body butters on a shelf and going over to smell them. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ They were not in that store when I stopped by late last year.

Re: Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

I hope that Sephora is not phasing out Josieโ€™s products @itsfi

Re: Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

@Loretta55 It could be the brand choosing to direct their $ elsewhere, since it's expensive to have space on shelves and maybe found they were getting most of their sales from online. The brand has been moving to other spaces, right? Like QVC? I think they're also pivoting away from any makeup as well, so could be part of a brand restructuring.

Re: Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

She does offer lip oil @haleyvvvv. I found it very drying on my lips. Sometimes she does offer some good packages on her own website. QVC usually has the best value.

The letter T is up for grabs! ๐ŸŽโ€ƒ

Re: Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

Ooh! This sounds great @CynthieLu

Re: Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

They have the whole line up in my local Sephora, I got to the swatch them all in store. I recommend it, if you can @Georgiiiaaa ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿฉท

Re: Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

Nice work @CynthieLu with the 3 Sโ€™s! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ This line of lipsticks is beautiful. I have two and can definitely see myself picking up more at some point. Great close up photo of the product! ๐Ÿ“ท

Re: Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

S was feeling tricky but as soon as the I put a little thought into it, The Super Satins just popped right into my head.

I like this line up, it's very easy to wear without drying me out at all. I can't easily see me grabbing a another one. ๐Ÿ˜‰ They are almost like a hybrid lipstick balm but leaning more towards being a lipstick.  What's your take on them @itsfi?

Re: Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

Re: Learning our A, B, C's: The Sephora BIC Beauty Edition

Oh, Iโ€™ve not tried either of those combinations @Georgiiiaaa. I bet both duos make a stunning pairing. ๐Ÿ˜
