Empties

I love seeing other peoples empties! So I decided to make a board where people could post pictures of their empties, or just tell us about them! I'd also be interested in knowing whether you're repurchasing anything or not.

Re: Empties

Major aspirations.

Re: Empties

Smiley Surprised oh my goodness I don't think I've ever seen anything like this!!

Re: Empties

**bleep**!!!!!  I am so impressed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Empties

I got bleeped, I'll use the alternative word Darn!!!!

Re: Empties

hahaha!!!! thanks Smiley Happy

Re: Empties

@sparklekai,  There probably should be some kind of award for strong work like this!  I'm impressed.  Smiley Happy

Re: Empties

thanks!!!! i'm going to see how much of a dent i can get in 2 more palettes this year!

Re: Empties

WOW! Yes, that absolutely deserves its own post. Hopefully I will be making a similar one with my Naked Basics palette before the end of the year, but this is super impressive.

Did you finish the shades at around the same time, or did some hang on much longer than others? The dark black-brown shade in Naked Basics (Crave) is going to be with me forEVER after I finish all the others, just because I really only use it as a liner.

Re: Empties

you can totally do it!!

the shades finished in stages.  i did a palette of the year on my blog so i do have month by month progress shots somewhere!

the dark brown colour sexspresso was possibly the hardest shadow to work through - it was just so tightly packed and i don't do dark eyes. i did end up scrapping chocolate martini.  it ended up being a gold glitter with a tiny brown sheen, it was scratchy and i just hated it!

i also found other purposes for some of the shades - silk teddy and honey pot i used as shadows and highlighters

Re: Empties

This is great, definitely getting your money's worth from this pallette!! 😊

Re: Empties

This is incredible.  I can't pan one shadow-you've panned a palette.

Re: Empties

Wow, that is crazy impressive!

Re: Empties

Oh wow that's amazing 😯

Re: Empties

Holy moly I am seriously amazed my face just looked like Smiley Surprised and O.O for a second when I saw this. Don't think I'll EVER get to this level with even one pan haha...

Re: Empties

Wow, I applaud you! I can't remember the last time I hit pan on a single eyeshadow let alone finish an entire palette!

Re: Empties

i made this my mission this year! it went easier than i thought it would!

Re: Empties

I take it you liked that palette? I've been pondering the too faced matte one.

Re: Empties

@WhereYouStandit was a nice palette but it doesn't offer a whole lot of diversity in shades.  i'm not sure if i'd repurchase it but i'm glad that i was able to use it up.

i'm trying to see how much i can use up for the too faced matte eye palette and the boudoir eye palette.  right now both are super close to getting decluttered!

i find the matte palette isn't the easiest to work with.  takes a lot of effort to get any pigmentation and colour payoff and then there is a lot of powder kick up when i finally do

Re: Empties

Thanks sparklekai for the feedback this is good to know. there seems to be a big hype around too faced eyeshadow palettes I was just curious if they were worth it or a tad overrated. I have been eyeing many of their palettes but still debating this gives me some info on the neutral mattes in those palettes. I think i will wait on purchasing it now.   Smiley Happy

Re: Empties

I don't want to sound rude but I am just genuinely curious: How do you ladies manage to save your empties? The second I finish something (and even in the last few uses leading up to empty), I am so giddy about being able to toss it. There's no way I could make myself save stuff for photographing each month. Smiley Very Happy

Re: Empties

I keep my empties in a Sephora bag and the main reason was because I keep a spreadsheet of all my products and usually once a month I'll gather them up and update it. I only recently started taking pics because I now post them here as well as my blog.
