Heads up guys the SK-II facial essence promo just got cancelled from my order I was able to add it but a few hours later I got a notification about my order shipping without it. I’m in Ontario so maybe the situation is different in other provinces but this is the 3rd time this happens to me with different promos in 3 weeks (i have placed 4 ordersand only received the promo on 1 of the orders). This is really starting to get on my nerves bc the promos stay on the page for a while after that so it makes me wonder what the hell is going on. Is anyone else having this problem lately? I’ve never had anything like this with Sephora and all of a sudden lately they are cancelling promos even when they are leaving the item up or bringing back in stock a day later. I don’t know if this is a temporary situation or if this kind of thing is going to continue happening.

This just happened to me in Alberta. The shishedo lip got removed from my order. I asked them to add the Noniglow Kora Organics sample, but "orders can not be modified." Complained a little more and now got them both in a separate shipment. Annoying that these hoops have to be jumped through, just don't let me add the sample! Sorry all your samples keep getting removed.

@Mochapj is correct. What's available online is a combination of all warehouse inventories. I have watched the cancellation behavior for a while through family members and friends. The destination doesn't seem to matter. What matters is what you ordered and their availability at each warehouse. The order of which your items appear on your order summary also seems to matter. The ones that appear first take precedence in warehouse selection so items down the list will get cancelled if they're not available at the same warehouse, although I noticed that this has only happened with promo items from those multi-item codes so far. Maybe someone else can confirm if this is also the case with purchased items or whether they split-ship orders.

I suggest adding an item at the top that meets the threshold and add the promo, then add whatever you want to buy and remove the top item. It's a hassle, but it ensures that the promo item is added before everything else. I can't guarantee that this will prevent cancellations but it's worth a try.

@RoseCharlie The exact same thing happened to me as well! I ordered a few items and I chose the Pitera SKII essence and I received an email a few minutes later stating that it was OOS. I called Customer Service as soon as I could reach them and told me that I couldn’t have another Beauty Offer so the gave me 100 points. The situation isn’t limited to Ontario since I live in Montreal.

Good to know about it happening in Montreal as well - I am trying to figure out what could be causing this and trying to decide whether to continue with my regular orders right now so I just wish I could find out what is going on - I love Sephora and do all my shopping (well almost) but this is frustrating I just wish i could know why it’s happening.

@RoseCharlie there was some talk in another thread that they opened a second warehouse in Canada.

i believe what’s happening is that the promo is still available at one of the two warehouses, it just happens to be the one that isn’t shipping your orders

I'm in Ontario too.  I haven't had it happen yet but I haven't bought online recently.  Which codes did they cancel on you?

Hi @Lainie1 - so it was the Drunk Elephant bronzer/serum promo, the Hourglass Mascara promo and the SK-II promo that got cancelled from my orders.
