@MissPuff  Awww, thanks gorgeous! I’ve been on IG more than here lately because it’s less tempting and time consuming. Lol! Although I love my local Sephora ( they had a Caudalie event this weekend- made me think if you! ) I’ve been doing a lot more shopping at Ulta the past few months 😅 They’ve REALLY upped their customer service and they are getting more and more of my go to brands! Like @itscarin pointed out__ SUNDAY RILEY!!! You know they and Tatcha are my ride or die skin care! 

I took a bold beauty class at Sephora recently which was great. And I loved the Sephora Stands initiative. That was spectacular. I’ll always be a huge Sephora fan, but now that I am the sole breadwinner in the house, I need to be mindful of every penny and Ulta’s program just saves me more based on straight purchasing alone.

@mermadelove ulta carries Sunday Riley now. 😏. They will definitely do a 20% to compete with Sephora’s. There’s also the 10x point sale and *if* your items are included in the 10x category, 10x points is actually like getting 39% off your order if you factor in the $200 you spend to get a $125 reward.

@itscarin OMG!!!!!!! I have never taken advantage of the 10x points! 5x yes. I haven’t shopped at Ulta enough to have hit it right. I am planning on holding out to get the SR kit and the ABH X JA there during the sale. I was really excited to see that SR had joined the Ulta family! I have to say, though that the Sephora Collection items are WAAAAAAAAAAY BETTER than anything I’ve tried from the Ulta Beauty line. There is simply no comparison. So I’ll still be going to Sephora for that, Bite, classes, Tatcha and other clean beauty like Farmacy. 

Thanks for the 411 on the 10x! Do you think they’ll offer that during the sale, too?????

@mermadelove no idea. We’ll have to wait until Monday to see. They might include Sunday Riley to promote it since it’s new but then maybe they won’t since it probably sells itself.

100% agree with this sentiment, @MissPuff! I recently got a random 20% off but only for foundation? and i had just purchased a tinted moisturizer? so i don't need a new foundation? Your word is spot on, seems amateurish and random

With the 20 percent off I will be picking up more clean make up as I'm trying to switch over some more Farmacy refills as well. I am kinda bummed that its only 20 percent after they sent out 30 to some people. I'm a rouge and I spend a lot of money at Sephora I feel like I should get an inside track on the best deals its why I choose Sephora over Ulta or directly from the manufacture to shop so I can consolidate my spending for the best rewards I might have to start rethinking that.

I feel like this sale is just replacing their friends and family sale that they usually do on August. I am on a low buy so I will only be replenishing a few skincare items I am running low on. I feel like I run out of everything at the same time LOL. I have been feeling so meh about makeup lately, it makes me kinda sad. I am saving all my ulta points (so far have $300) for the holiday stuff and saving for the November Sephora sale, hopefully they will have more fun stuff to make me fall in love with makeup again 🙂

I’ve actually been feeling the same way as you, but mine is more due to the constant breakouts I’ve been having since April. I don’t wear makeup everyday now, because what’s the point in trying to cover and possibly irritate my skin even more daily. Trying to focus more on skincare instead. I too have saved up a ton of ULTA points, waiting to get a 20% off prestige coupon to double up the savings. Oh btw, if you didn’t already know this, only redeem 2,000 points per purchase, it’s the highest $ value per point.

I'm going to try to narrow my list down to 2-4 things because I really shouldn't be going ham on cosmetics right now.  I'm still lemming so hard over the Pat Mcgrath foundation but realistically that'll have to be a November sale purchase.

Best soothing primer for dry skin is definitely the Cover FX cloud hydrating primer or deffffinitelyyyy check out the Ciaté watermelon gel primer they just launched !!!!!!!! Both are so amazing

I much prefer the Charlotte tilbury contour wand to the Fenty match stick. It's much easier to use for me personally.

@scott1201 - funny to hear that the scent was off for you! of all of the things I've read, that is something no one's mentioned before. unfortunately it's going to have to be a blind purchase for me. my local store doesn't carry CT.

I’ve never tried the liquid foundation but I love the pressed powder and can confirm the loose powder smells rotten. It’s such a bad smell.
