Ipsy

Is Ipsy worth it? What other subscription boxes are worth it? I am currently only subscribed to PLAY!

Ipsy

@Marrrryyyyy boxycharm is great, allure box is amazing too!

Re: Ipsy

Here is a great blog post about how to get the ipsy products you want.

I also like Allure. If you keep threatening to cancel you can get the boxes for 10 dollars a month.

I get Boxycharm when I really want the products they offer. I don't know how some people stay subscribed for years. Boxycharm has a palette in pretty much every box. Where do people store them??

Re: Ipsy

I really enjoyed ipsy because they have a great mix of mainstream and indie brands. Their customization also seems a little bit more honed in that some other subs in a similar price range. As @jhe9488 mentioned below, the mini sizes can get overwhelming over time.

I've switched my subs from sample sizes to full sizes and I'm enjoying the experience so much more! Boxycharm is a fantastic box. I also just started getting Glam Bag Plus by Ipsy.

Here's a link to our Subscription Box thread so you can see what others have been getting and enjoying:

I also recommend you check out the blog called MySubscriptionAddiction dot com!

Re: Ipsy

Do you find that you have any trouble getting through so many full sized products? I'm such a hoarder that I can't even get through the ones I buy!

haha me too!!

haha me too!!

Thank you so much!! 😃😃

Thank you so much!! 😃😃

Re: Ipsy

I used to subscribe to Ipsy and you do get a lot of goods for the price so it's a good deal I think if you want to try a lot of different things. The little bags I've found to be useful also since I ended up repurposing them for storing and organizing things in my handbags etc.

But I ultimately canceled my subscription because I realized that I really just don't want to try that many mini products each month. And each month I'd say only about half the products are things I am excited to try. In the over a year of using Ipsy, I didn't get converted to using any new product that I wasn't already using because of the samples I got. I thought I'd use the minis for traveling but I find that I get enough samples with purchase that I just had a massive box of them sitting in a closet (I ended up purging these recently). And when I did spend all vacation only using new samples of products--my skin would just go crazy.

Great insight. Thank you for your opinion! I have sooooo...

Great insight. Thank you for your opinion! I have sooooo many minis and samples from Sephora that I haven't used that I'm just going to donate because just like you, I try to use them all and then my skin freaks out. I have sensitive skin so a lot of the products don't work well with it unfortunately. I just get excited receiving them in the mail haha I wish they made a sensitive skin box haha

Re: Great insight. Thank you for your opinion! I have sooooo...

I never get skincare products from ipsy except body lotion. Like you, I have majorly sensitive skin. I get haircare, eyeshadow, blush, brushes and other makeup tools, nail polish, and body lotion, as I mentioned (only my face is sensitive). I don't have a problem going through those samples (except eyeshadow but for some reason I really like having so many options). I am really pleased with their customization.

Another reason I love ipsy is the ipsy overs. I got a full-size dry shampoo and conditioner set for 10 dollars (regularly 30). Ipsy offers are such good deals and you don't have to pay for shipping.
