Really should've bought the Rose Inc. refill instead of the bullet+case, but it slipped my mind during my in-store visit.

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser Bar - Restocking my nightly face and body wash. I’d have bought more if this Walgreens location had more in stock, especially since they were BOGO 50% off and I had rewards to spend. There aren’t many effective lathering cleansers that don’t strip or irritate my face, and this one also works great for my body skin. I like it better than the bottled Hydrating Facial Cleanser for my particular skin, and I can just cut off a chunk for travel purposes without sacrificing room in my TSA liquids bag. 

Eucerin Age Defense Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 - A Target purchase recommended by a friend who, like me, has fairly sensitive eyes. I tested it today. It has a thick cream texture that doesn’t get in my eyes when I put it on my lids. The texture requires more rubbing to apply than, say, Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen, but not as much as most mineral sunscreens since this one's a chemical sunscreen. When first applied, it looks moderately shiny, feels very tacky, and has a slight sunscreen smell. After its 10-minute setup, it leaves a natural radiant skin finish, smells almost like nothing (didn't notice it even while wearing a KN95), and still feels slightly tacky but not sticky. I didn’t wear any makeup over it (besides brow pencil), but I assume it'll behave like a grippy face primer. I did wear my usual daytime moisturizer under it; once the weather heats up, I'll try it without moisturizer. For now, I like it! Always nice to have a good lower-cost alternative to Unseen Sunscreen, especially for eye area use. 

GXVE Hella On Point Brow Pencil shade 7 - I received shade 5 in a generous Sephora gratis package. 5 is too warm brown for me, but I like the fairly dry pencil formula. Today I went to a local Sephora to swatch the darker shades. 7 looks like a cool toned brown-black which should work better with my salt & pepper brows. I’ll try it tonight before I wash my face, and give it a full wear-test tomorrow. This will probably be the emergency touchup brow pencil I keep in my purse from now on. 

Sephora Charged Up Liquid Eyeshadow shade Energy - Finally trying one of these. 3 hours ago, I finger-blended it across one lid with no problems. Around hour 2, I absentmindedly wiped that lid with my hand (my eyes have been watering all day). Surprisingly, I got just some faint champagne gold sparkles on the back of that hand; the bulk of Energy stayed put on my lid. And it hasn't creased at all yet on my hooded eyes. Impressive! Now I might have to visit another Sephora to grab one of the purple shades. 

Rose Inc. Satin Lipstick shade Hypnotic - Swatched this shade in person today. Rose Inc. calls it “sandy beige," but it’s really the peachy nude I’d hoped for. After tonight’s 3-hour wear test, I’m kinda iffy on the formula: it applies very creamy—kinda streaky, actually—but within 30 minutes it dries down noticeably. Not quite uncomfy, just not as nice feeling as it was at first. It also settles into lip lines to create vertical striping when I smile, but that’s not noticeable unless I look in a 10x mirror. I’ll test it again tomorrow because it’s hard to find a shade like this that doesn’t totally wash me out. 😄 

Sephora Rouge Lacquer Lipstick shades 31 Reckless and 36 Girl Gang - Not sure I knew about these before my Sephora store visit, or if I’d forgotten they exist. Either way, I’m glad to have stumbled upon them. I tried to pick 2 shades I don’t already have in a shiny/glossy bullet, stick, or crayon formula. If MAC Viva Glam III was a shiny balmy lipstick with a bit less pigmentation, it’d be Reckless. And Girl Gang's a touch more terracotta than PMG Lip Fetish Flesh 3. (I washed my hands before taking those comparison swatch photos, oops.) 

Someone asked me if PMG Passion Flower was close to Hypnotic. Also, you can see Energy's pink shift better in this swatch than on my lid.Sephora Charged Up Liquid Eyeshadow shade Energy on just one eyelid. Rose Inc. lipstick shade Hypnotic on my lips.
