@Titian06, what a fantastic haul! I like that Tatcha cleanser - performs well and the scent on it is refreshing in a soft, mild way. Oooh, I think that's a Fenty lipstick I spy - which shade did you pick up?

By the way, the knit that your goodies are laying on looks so cozy. 😍

@itsfi - The Fenty is Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Fenty Icon The Fill Semi-Matte Refillable Lipstick .  I crocheted the afghan years ago.  I can't believe how well it's held up over the years. 😄

Oh my goodness I almost forgot to say what I wanted to about the lippie. Like the color choice. I debated over that one and Scholar Sista which I ended up getting during the sale. I may go back for the one you picked here at another date. Very pretty lip shade.

Hi all, I need to ask something. I just bought 2 new lip balms. The guerlain superlips and the dior lip serum. I'm in love with the guerlain one, it smells lovely and is very nourishing but.....I have to say, I'm not in love with the dior one. I'm about to explain: I love the texture of this serum, is very minty and fresh, my lips feel really soft after using it, and I love the big doe foot applicator. But, I can't stand the smell of it. It is suppose to smell like a mixture of vanilla and mint. On some websites, they say it should smell like an almond cake. I'm starting to think I got a faulty one, because mine smells so awful and very chemical. You can smell mint and vanilla, but it almost smells like alcohol. Maybe is because I just opened it, and is still new?? I will continue to use it, but I keep smelling it and it's not a pleasant experience 😓 DIOR Lip Maximizer Serum 0.17 oz/ 5mL If some of you have it, can you tell me if yours smells awful like mine or not? thanks 💕👍

@Anonymous  Sorry the scent of the Dior serum is kinda yucky. 😞 I haven't smelled it in person, but now I'm curious. I'll smell a tester next time I'm at a local Sephora or other store that carries it. Since alcohol's high on the ingredient list, maybe that's why you got an alcohol scent... maybe your tube's batch got less of the added fragrance than other batches got. Glossier Bubblewrap is stinky (contains no added fragrance to mask its scent), but I've noticed some tubes are less stinky than others. That's likely a batch thing, and might also be happening with the Dior serum. 

I skimmed all the product reviews at Dior's US site and didn't see anyone complain about the scent. I did see folks complain about texture and lack of moisturization, and I think those people forgot that this product is a serum, not a moisturizing balm or lip gloss. It does contain a couple of moisturizing ingredients, but I know it won't keep my lips moisturized at all and I'd need Aquaphor over it—which is exactly how I'd use it anyway, as a lip serum. Dior does say it can be used on its own, but the "instrumental test" they tout (which was done on just 10 people) involved using both this serum and a Dior Lip Maximizer gloss layered together. I once considered trying this serum to replace Glossier Bubblewrap, but it contains cayenne pepper extract so it's a no-go for me. I love spicy food and chili peppers, but I don't want irritating cayenne on my lips all day or night. Doesn't mean the serum won't work for anyone else, especially anyone who has little or no skin sensitivity to capsicum.

@WinglessOne @itsfi I got a defective one for sure, and it's a pricey one!! 😤🤬 I will continue to use it, maybe once it's open for a while, the scent will be less strong, or at least I hope 🤷‍♀️🙏 But, overall, it feels nice on my lips. I'm not getting any irritation or rashes due to the alcohol thing sooooo.....so far so good. It's just the smell that is off putting. I'm not getting any tingle, it just feels nice and cooling 💗

@Anonymous, it’s good that it is not causing your lips any irritation. If it’s defective, would you want to exchange it for another one?

@itsfi @WinglessOne  I reached out to dior yesterday, they replied that they want to do a batch quality control, and they need my help. They will contact me soon and help me to find out a solution. They wanted a screenshot of my receipt and other things. But I told them that I'm loving the product, I use it everyday, multiple times a day. I'm starting to tolerate the smell, because when you have it on, you can't smell it anymore. So no, I will not return it and I don't want to change it with anything else because I'm enjoying it 💗 I will try to use it with another dior lip balm that I have to see what it's like Dior Dior Addict Lip Glow 000 Universal
