tropical. fruity. coconut??? help!!

For some odd reason, I've been wanting to feel and smell like i'm from a mystical island. and my problem is that I have yet to find a body spray/perfume/anything that is a combination of tropical/fruity/coconut scents... maybe i'm being too picky, but i wouldn't even mind just ONE of those scents. I bought one called Indian Coconut Nectar Hair & Body Mist by Pacifica and it smells like straight vanilla. not my favorite. 

If anyone has a suggestion please, i want to hear it. 

another thing have any of you walked by someone who smelled amazing and even after you've walked away you can still smell it? HOW?? is there a special technique? use spray and matching lotion? it amazes me.

I'm guessing you'd like more fruity notes to your fragrance, rather than tropical floral based on your description 🙂 

One thought I have is that you could try layering two perfumes to find your perfect scent. 

There are a few which I would consider tropical, but I think they may lack the fruitiness you want:

• Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess
• Guerlain Terracotta 
• Tom Ford Soleil Blanc

All are quite nice, but to me more like summer florals, beachy coconut, etc. But you could use anything along those lines together with a fruitier perfume.

Otherwise perhaps Kerosene's Unforsaken or Liasons Dangereuses by By Kilian.

Bronze Goddess by Estée Lauder smells like suntan lotion , and coconuts. Good luck ,

Here are a few suggestions for tropical fruit scents, from least to most expensive:

- Trader Joe's Coconut Oil in a jar or any generic jar of coconut oil (skip the overpriced Kopari being sold at Sephora). Good as a body moisturizer and you can't smell any more tropical than real coconut

- BBW and The Body Shop. Go with BBW if you want blended scents like coconut lime verbena, and TBS if you want single notes of tropical fruit (papaya/mango/coconut/guava only)

- Diptyque Philosykos. Supposedly smells like figs but smells green and coconuty to me.

- ELDO Fils De Dieu

Tom Ford Body Oil, either Soleil Blanc or the original scent, also evokes tropical (50-50 floral fruity to me). Bobbi Brown Beach and MM Beachwalk evoke being on the beach if you want that, but do not really smell tropical to me. Enjoy the smellathon!

In general, if you want scents to last, use the soap then apply the lotion/cream and the EDP/EDT. That may be overkill for people around you though 🙂

I'd recommend checking out Escada; they put out several summer scents each year. Sephora has a couple, and ulta has a couple of different ones. They are typically all variations of tropical/fruity/coconut/vanilla...lovely scents! I'm really liking their Fiesta Carioca (available at Ulta) this year.

@mexxyk10  I second @RGbrown's suggestion - I was just coming over to suggest Escada scents - I find them to be both fruity and tropical!  I love them!💗💗💗
