I remember the first time I really loved a perfume. I was in middle school, so 12 or 13 years old. I was going through my Aunt's Nordstrom catalogue and found a D&G L'Imperatrice sample. I mentioned how much I liked it, and she surprised me that christmas with my own bottle! That's when I really started to love fragrances. I still have the original bottle 🙂 and it's still one of my all time favorites! So I ask you: what perfume sparked your obsession? Tell us the story if you can't remember the name!

My first obsession with spirits appeared two years ago. My children gave me GIVENCHY. Gentle, light, airy)))) Grateful to them!
Oh this is a fun walk down memory lane!
Not ashamed to admit that i went through, probably, five bottles of Curious by Britney Spears during my middle school and early high school years. I can still imagine the smell in my brain! During those years i also loved Still by Jennifer Lopez (it was the era of pop star perfumes, i guess)
My mother was a perfume junkie and I'd always be at her vanity spraying all of her different bottles, but I never really became obsessed with perfume until I found Bvlgari - Omnia Amethyste sitting out on my aunt's bathroom counter. I was just reading the fragrance notes in this EDT and I think it's why I'm so interested in scents with rose notes, still today. It's funny that I didn't realize how much of an impact this perfume had on me until I found this thread. Thanks! 😊

I was inspired (aka obsessed) with a few classic fragrances from my childhood, including:
GAP: Dream
Bath & Body Works: Cucumber Melon, Plumeria
Davidoff: Cool Water
Comptoir Sud Pacifique: Mora Bella, Vanille
and then I discovered my combo that I was loyal to for well over 10 years...

In junior high, I was a full-on Bath & Body Works girl. I was obsessed with either Sun Ripened Raspberry, or Cucumber Melon mists! But in high school, I took it up a notch. My mother took me to the mall for my 15th birthday, so I could pick out a gift (I was at that age where she wasn’t quite sure what I was into). We’re passing through Macy’s, and I sprayed some perfumes to see what they smelled like, just for the hell of it. BUT....I sprayed one that I just fell in love with!! It was Mambo by Liz Claiborne. Since I can’t even begin to describe the scent and do it justice, I looked up what notes are in the scent : (Top notes: Mandarin Orange, Mango, Ylang-ylang Middle notes: Orange Blossom, Hibiscus, Ginger Base Notes: Sandalwood, Musk, Vanilla) “Hey Mom....I found my birthday present!” She bought me a set that included a bottle of the perfume, a small lotion, and a body powder. AND, it came in a tote bag (Mom has that bag to this day, I’m almost 33!) ! It was a great present that really sparked my love for perfume!
When I was just a wee little troublemaking brat my sister had the perfume Exclamation! Oh boy did I love it! I still do, I won't lie. My mother also had this little collection of four mini's and one of them was Revlon Fire & Ice. I think it was Revlon. I really liked that one too. I tried it again recently and it didn't smell like I remembered, I don't like the smell now.
