New Nest!

Nest has a new fragrance in a gorgeous bottle. Frangipani notes!! Can't wait to try it.

Re: New Nest!

@SportyGirly125 @GG84 @greeneyedgirl107 @ChampagneAura Tried this today! I was expecting it to be beachy-coconut but this one strikes as more sweet and floral.

Re: New Nest!

@pocketvenus I'm happy to hear that, as beachy-coconut isn't my vibe 🙂

Re: New Nest!

A friend picked this up and didn’t like it and asked if I wanted it, I quite like it. It is what I would describe as a warm scent, the bottle is really pretty.

Re: New Nest!

@ChampagneAura @pocketvenus @greeneyedgirl107 I got it as a sample and it smells really good. It has a tropical scent to it.

Re: New Nest!

It is a pretty bottle! NEST New York Sunkissed Hibiscus Eau de Parfum 1.7 oz/ 50 mL

Sunkissed_Hibiscus_VidStill

Described by Nest as A solar floral fragrance featuring creamy frangipani and radiant orange blossom warmed by a gorgeous golden amber.

Top notes are frangipani and coconut; middle notes are orange blossom, gardenia and tuberose; base note is amber.

Re: New Nest!

@pocketvenus I'm excited to try this.  The only thing is, I must be a dum-dum b/c I checked out the fragrance notes online and in your post, and while it is called "Sunkissed Hibiscus," I don't see hibiscus listed.  Am I missing something?

Re: New Nest!

@greeneyedgirl107 you're correct, I don't see it either. Sometimes perfumes don't actually contain any of the ingredient they're named after but they will approximate it and include it in the notes pyramid so this also seems strange to me!

Re: New Nest!

@pocketvenus Thanks for the insight!  🙂  You're always so knowledgeable!

Re: New Nest!

@greeneyedgirl107 I found this from Nest's website

Laura Slatkin was inspired by the mesmerizing Voodoo Queen hibiscus that blooms in the garden of her Palm Beach home. Drawn to its striking colors reminiscent of a picturesque Palm Beach sunset, she discovered that the flower has an incredible relationship to the sun: its petals close when it sets and blossom as it rises. This solar-floral eau de parfum captures the allure of the Voodoo Queen hibiscus and the luminosity of a brilliant sunset with notes of warm golden amber and tropical frangipani layered with white-floral notes of orange blossom, gardenia, and tuberose for a mellow fragrance that wraps you in bliss.

So I guess it's supposed to capture the colours of the flower?

Re: New Nest!

@pocketvenus Thanks for the info!  It's always interesting to read about scent inspirations.  I bet her estate is amazing.

Re: New Nest!

@greeneyedgirl107 you're very welcome though I'm as stymied as you with this one 🙂
