Fragrance Sample

Hi everyone! I looove fragrances, but I have to be very careful when buying them  

because some scents give me very bad headaches. 
I went to Sephora’s Yorkdale location in Toronto (Canada)  and asked for a sample of the fragrance that I liked. I was told they never give samples and that I should just buy a travel size instead. I don’t think that this is true because I have always been able to get samples at other Sephora locations. What is more, the sales associate was rude when I said I didn’t want to buy something before testing it given my sensitive skin. Not sure what’s going on in Canada—I have always shopped at Sephora in the States without problems.

@cvijanovicka even Sephora stores in the US aren't doing fragrance samples anymore.  Your best bet might be to purchase some of the little fragrance sampler sets that Sephora sells where you get a selection of little fragrance vials.  I know it's not as ideal as getting free samples in store but it's probably your next best option.

Hi, @cvijanovicka  - last time I went into my local (Canadian) Sephora, I was told they're not getting samples any more. I also found out that they don't offer fragrance samples any more. This began during COVID, and apparently never left.

As I'm also very sensitive to fragrance and will often get headaches as well, I've done a few things. 1, I request fragrance samples when placing a Sephora order online if they have any. 2, I buy the sampler sets - you might want to check out CLEAN RESERVE Reserve - Perfume Discovery Set as a soft set of sample fragrances, or check out the product line for the fragrance you liked. A lot of the lines have samplers for fragrance. And 3, I wear my fragrance very cautiously! A little dab in my cleavage generally keeps the fragrance light enough not to bother me, unlike putting it on my wrists.
