Sephoria - Atlanta Weather

Wondering why Sephoria hasn't sent any sort of update yet?

I personally think Atlanta will be fine by the time of the events, but I know that power outages and storm surge are the main concern. Obviously rain and wind won't be the main cause for a cancellation. But there is no talks of this on Instagram, via email, or on Pullman Yards social medias.

My thoughts are they should keep the event in place (unless there becomes a state of emergency - then they'll probably have no choice) but I think they should offer refunds to anyone experiencing travel issues due to the weather.

What I don't think should happen is everyone arrive, via plane, car etc. and then they send everyone home, without swag bags, because pretty sure in the Terms and Conditions it says we wouldn't get them this year, even mailed to us. Because it was such a cluster last year, I bet thats why they won't deal with mailing them.

Thoughts?? Do you think we'll receive an email soon? Last year pretty sure they sent everyone the even map/layout the day before on Thursday. Maybe thats what's happening?

Are you all still under a stay in place order? When is it scheduled to be lifted?

It’s 7:35.  We just received a stay in place order in Atlanta.   It seems calm outside at the moment.  It’s not very windy and the rain is coming down fairly steady but not heavily.   It appears Peachtree creek has risen and is flooding homes in the area.  Everyone stay safe.
To those who are here in Atlanta, we will wait patiently for any possibility of Sephoria still taking place. I know we’ve all been crossing our fingers that we’d luck out and the weather wouldn’t be too harsh on us and that things would run as planned.
The plan as of last night was for the event to be delayed by an hour to ensure everyone had ample time to get to the venue safely.  Things have changed overnight and the event team is likely not at work at the moment to post an update.
Hopefully Sephoria can still take place, but if it isn’t safe to do so, we WILL gather and find other fun things to do while we're here once it’s safe to do so.   It’s Atlanta after all!  There are so many options!

Re: Sephoria - Atlanta Weather

We are in a state of emergency...they declared it today.

Re: Sephoria - Atlanta Weather

I’m flying up from Miami and hoping my 9am Friday flight doesn’t get cancelled! I’m heading to the 5pm session. Praying for best case scenario. 🙂 #sephoria2024 #ginaleechic

Re: Sephoria - Atlanta Weather

I agree, I did email them yesterday and they said they have no plans on canceling the event. My biggest concern is the wind for those traveling and possible flooding. My event is Friday 11-2 so I'm stressed.

Re: Sephoria - Atlanta Weather

I think it would be best to cancel! People driving in this wouldn’t be a good idea and I am stressed about it as well. Friday 11-2

Re: Sephoria - Atlanta Weather

I just got alert from airline already to expect cancelations and delays flying into Atlanta and this storm is upgraded,  Why is Sephoria not taking this serious and sending us updates,  Like everyone I was so excited for this event, I  have no words.

Re: Sephoria - Atlanta Weather

Oh I'm so glad they said they're not cancelling!! They likely don't assume where people are traveling from and how they're getting there. For example, if you're flying or driving in from Tennessee, there would likely be no issues for you. There are people coming in from all over the US. So I think it's up to the person coming to decide if it's safe for them, and to make arrangements that are best. Weather issues are the worsttttt though, so I definitely understand the concern.
