Sephoria 2024…..will be in Atlanta, Georgia. Who will be attending this year?  I won’t be able to make it again this year 😔

SEPHORiA is a global annual rendezvous specially created to celebrate the world of beauty. Starting in Atlanta (Sept 27-28th), in person events will also take place in Paris (Oct 4-5th), Shanghai (Oct 24-27th), and new locations Rio de Janeiro (Nov 1-3rd) and Dubai (Nov 6-8th).

This was my 3rd in person SEPHORiA and it’s beyond amazing every time! I have so much I want to post but it would take me a year, so I’ll try to hit some highlights!

Everyone has captured so much of the joy and wonder more eloquently than I. The highlights for me were absolutely catching up with my Sephora BIC Besties @danielledanielle @faeriegirl @Mellmars1185 @itsfi @gonerogue @trishavt @shimmerbait @missjeanie  and others who aren’t tagging at the moment!  And my IRL bestie, who braved the hurricane to drive in for the event this year. Aside from that, a highlight for me every year is meeting brand founders, brand reps, Sephora Makeup artists and staff, and even some of the brands national makeup artists, like Christina from Valentino, who I had just seen on a virtual  masterclass.

The booths were super fun, though I had a VERY slight feeling they were a little bit less magical and a little more “corporate” than past years but honestly, that’s such a generalization and overall, they were really wonderful and I loved it.

I will say that the early hour of VIP (not quite given waiting in line to get in time) was really so much more comfortable than the crowds when the General Admission portion started.  At least there were no total standstill issues like last year when they cut access to the second floor entirely (which is sadly where the VIP lounge was located) and there was more care taken to manage the lines for booths. If I had only had a GA ticket, though, I would likely still have been frustrated at the lines for some booths and 3 hours may not be enough time to have gotten to all of them. I did notice that some brands were out of their giveaways in latter part of the sessions on Saturday which is surprising given that a whole session was cancelled, and that would be super disappointing as an attendee.

I continued my tradition from last year of sharing some little rainbow heart love notes with some of my favorite brands and people at the event thanking them!

 

 

 

 

 

Some of you may know that I won a spot on Danessa Myricks PR list in 2023, which was a dream come true since it was already one of my favorite brands (hence the thread I had started 9 months before SEPHORiA 2023! Anyway, my first session, I made a beeline to Danessa’s booth, and I got the most amazing hug in line and then told her about the BIC thread with over 60k views and said I would be honored to stay on her PR list for 2024. She gave my note to her team and said “you will not be forgotten” and told them to “lock it in”!

 

 

 

So, I hope they do. Anyway, she was so amazing and joyful with the best energy to share with her fans. Her whole team is amazing. They were doing touch ups with Lightwork VI (which I was already wearing on eyes) and she added a highlight that got me compliments at so many booths and by other SEPHORiA attendees. That palette is sure a stunner! The masterclass was amazing, I’ll post some notes on the Danessa thread. I was blessed to be sitting next to @danielledanielle when she stunned Danessa and the room with her incredible overview of why Groundwork palette is so universal and won the Lightwork VI in return!

 

 

Of course, I can’t say enough about the swag. I love the swag bags and really appreciate the effort by the brands (tbh, especially the smaller brands) to be there and share their products with us. They really do have an influence on my vision of those brands and products and make me eager to support them and try things I might not otherwise.

Thanks to my friends for the hand delivered Unicorn Mail. Surprisingly (or maybe not), the Dolly P of BIC engraved bullet and the Dolly cocktail napkins were gifted by two different people, lol, and the LLama for my new addition. Thanks so much @heartsmyface  and @danielledanielle and @missjeanie for the gifts and Canadian snacks!

 

 

I also bought my friend a GA ticket for one of her sessions and traded her a gold bag for it to give to my goddaughter. Here’s a silver bag & swag:

 

Finally, my very large and my giant suitcase which were chock full of swag and coffee crisp weighing in at 68 and 61 pounds. Luckily I have up to 70 lbs in United.

 

Anyway, I’ll try to post more pics in the near future, and likely mini comments and updates in other threads and on my IG and TikTok (at makeuphappyhour) if you want to see video, when I get around to it!
