Opinions Wanted: Community Events

Happy Friday BIC!

Hopefully by now you’ve seen some of your friends in the community have been attending events IRL and (finally!) meeting in person. First, we had our launch party at Sephora’s Hollywood and Highland store over the summer, we had two palettes parties in March and now we have two more skincare classes coming up. (Pssssst!! Spots are still available in NYC next weekend!)

We’re interested in hearing your thoughts on what types of events you’d like to see and where. Would you be more interested in an issue-based event for something like oily skin? Would you like to do an like an in-person sample swap?

The possibilities are endless and we want to hangout with you so please share your ideas in the comments!

A BIC get together of any kind sounds like a great time to me 🙂 I would love one in the Atlanta area!!!!

I do like the idea of a sample swap (Sample Swap Saturday). Do it quarterly at a different free standing store in each state or region. My closest store is 90 minutes away so may as well go to Chicago. If it’s by region we could hang out with fellow community members for the weekend (masks and mimosas?). Now I’m having fun making event names. Palettes and Pints.

I like the idea of somewhat simultaneous events across states/provinces. Largest city in each?

@melissapurple22 which province are you in? @GG84 You’re Ontario, Correct? I’m just wondering where we all can meet up without paying $500 for a flight 😂 Side note: why is flying within Canada so dang expensive?

Yes I am in Ontario @bakeamuffin it would be wonderful not to have to pay the crazy cost 😮 Of flying in Canada to be able to meet! I think a event in major cities in Canada would be great though @Aaliaa. My sister lives in Alberta  😉 could be a good excuse to go visit her!!! 💜🙌🏻✨

*AHEM* I'm with @melissapurple22 about Canadian meet ups also. @KatieBT I realize you can only do so much, there doesn't appear to be much of a Canadian social presence from Sephora's Canadian Head Office. Is there not a way to get them more involved to address Canadian issues?

How about an event in each state that has a free standing Sephora store, so people don't have to drive for hours to attend.

@Lynnie32 totally hear you! Where are you located? We want to identify the cities with the most community members so we can bring the party to you 🙂

I'm in New Hampshire and I don't believe there are any free standing stores in Vermont or Maine. Coming to a tax free state (New Hampshire has no sales tax) to purchase expensive cosmetics and attend an event is a win win situation for consumers in all neighboring states.

I think a palette party sounds fun! ❤️ I would love to attend an event, but they are not in my state. I could go visit @Mcakes though if Texas makes the event list. ❤

I agree with @Mcakes! Texas! Specifically North Texas or DFW 🙂

I also love the idea of a sample swap. That would give us a good chance to meet and socialize with each other, versus a class setting.
