Winged liner placement?

Full disclosure: I cannot eyeliner. BUT, I'm trying. And I feel like I'm getting better at it, but something just seems... off. Am I drawing my tail at the right angle? Not connecting at the right angle? I feel like I'm following where everyone says to draw the lines from; maybe I'm just not used to it? Suggestions?

I only have eye makeup on, so ignore my dark circles and freckles. I practice pre-shower 🙂

Fwiw, I think your placement is really cute in these! The geometry is just always going to be different with round/hooded eyes and tutorials don't usually mention that.
