Tubing mascara and primer

Does anyone know if you can use any mascara primer with a tubing mascara? I'm worried that using a primer might affect how the tubing mascara is supposed to go on and adhere to your lashes. I'm really interested in this type of mascara because its smudge proof, but I'm scared it won't give me the volume I'm used to with a traditional mascara, which is why I think a good primer could help. Thanks!

@ehstewart I almost exclusively wear tubing mascaras and find that a good primer underneath really helps with increased definition and even volume of my lashes.  They still come off easily with warm water too.  L'Oreal Beauty Tubes mascara even comes with its own primer.

That's a great question! I have never tried using this type of mascara with a primer. I think it might change how it is removed but, if you do try it, I suggest waiting for the primer to dry for a bit before applying the mascara.

Clinique also makes a great tubing mascara!
