Removing stubborn lash adhesive

I'm currently using House of Lashes or Tarte adhesive for my false lashes as they do not cause the inflammation and itching that other adhesives do.  However, it's difficult to remove from my natural lashes.  Any small amount of residual glue seems to stick to my natural lashes and is extremely difficult to get off.  I end up trying to pick the adhesive off, and pulling out a few lashes as a result.  I have tried numerous types of makeup removers without success...the non-oily types do nothing but remove my shadow and liner, and the waterproof types fare slightly better but really only soften the glue no matter how long I hold the cotton pad to my eye...I'm still left with now-softer glue stuck on my lashes.

Has anyone had success trying any other products?  RCMA has an adhesive remover but it is not intended for use on the eyes or mucosa.

Thanks!

Karlie

Re: Removing stubborn lash adhesive

I put a dab of coconut oil and pure vitamin E (70,000IU) in palm of hand or on a clean silicone make up pad and blend together then rub on each eye in an upward, downward motion then after a cple of min u should beabled to rub the glue. This method is GREAT for removing waterproof mascara also except add a twisting with ur thumb & index finger lightly rubing eyelashes for a min to start the breakdwn process of the mascara .. then repeat as noted above with applying to remove lash glue.. this prevents u from ur own lashes falling out or getting pulled out!

Re: Removing stubborn lash adhesive

NEUTROGENA Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover!! I swear by it! I have been using this for 10 years now!!! I'm using dolly wink and it's very hard to remove the glue but you can soak the lashes in a small amount of the eye makeup remover and careful remove the residues and air dry and the lashes are good as new!!!
