Hello Beauty Community!

My question to you is a multi part question. First question is...do you have a favorite purple eyeshadow palette? If so what is it? What are your recommendations for making custom palettes? Im looking for a palette that has a wide shade range of purples, in all finishes. If no such palette exists then wheres the best places to do custom palettes? Thank you for any insight!

Hi @amwells ! Purple is one of my favorite shades for eyes and lips. 💜 

Purple palettes I can think of right now: 

• Violet Voss Sweet Violet Fun Sized Eyeshadow Palette Sweet Violet 
• Viseart Violet Etendu 
• Natasha Denona Lila Eyeshadow Palette might not have as much straight-up purple as you want but I'll list it anyway 
• One of the ABS Norvinas is full of purples… asking Google which one… ah, Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina® Pro Pigment Palette Vol. 5 for Face & Body Lilac 
• Juvia's Place has a couple of purple 6-pans: The Violets and The Nubian Royal 
• ColourPop’s released several 9-pans: All Amethyst, It’s My Pleasure, Lilac You A Lot, Orchid You Not, and Violet Vibes 
• Uoma Beauty Royal Heir-itage palette, though it might be more mauve/berry than you’re looking for 
• I’m sure Huda has at least one purple mini 9-pan... ah, here's one: HUDA BEAUTY Haze Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette Purple Haze Obsessions 

I’m excluding a couple of Pat McGrath palettes I own and love: MTRHSHP La Vie en Rose is discontinued (it was very briefly available during Pat’s current Vault sale), and I doubt Mothership III Subversive contains nearly as many purples as you want. 

Single shadows for custom palettes: 

Here's a handful of brands that offer singles in various shades, formulas, and finishes. I’m sure other folks can name more brands. Note that a palette full of indie brand singles may be more expensive than a pre-made palette by any brand. 

• Clionadh - best known for duo/multichromes; I don’t think they currently offer matte singles. 
• ColourPop - offers pressed powder singles in addition to their famous Super Shock shadow formula. 
• Devinah 
• JD Glow 
• Sydney Grace 
• Terra Moons 
• Viseart - they don’t currently offer nearly as many singles as they used to, and it’s less expensive to just buy a pre-made Viseart palette. They make my favorite matte shadow formula; their shimmers aren't as good as their mattes, but they're not awful. 

Coloured Raine used to offer single shadows, but I don’t think they do anymore.

I just noticed I forgot to mention Natasha Denona Retro Eyeshadow Palette as a purple palette option. Also, Beautylish might still have some Natasha Denona single shadows ("Mono Eye Shadow") available, though I don't know how many purple shades are left.
